Terrible Construction
July 28, 2024Living in this building is like living below a bowling alley. Or living inside of a dryer with coins clanging around in it. I’ve lived in many apartment buildings in numerous states and this is the noisiest and most poorly constructed. Every step the people above me take is not only audible but frequently shakes the walls of my unit. Because of this I can count on one hand the number of good nights’ sleep I’ve had since moving in four months ago, so the quality of life living here is ...abysmal. White noise and ear plugs can't cover it. I specifically asked the office about noise before applying and they downplayed the issue, now I have to pay one month's rent to move due to the undisclosed conditions. We love our home

We love our home at York Hills!
May 6, 2021We absolutely love our home here at York Hills! This was our first apartment & we moved in without touring first due to COVID so we had no idea what to expect. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The apartments are spacious & in good condition, the neighbors are friendly & everyone keeps to themselves. Julie & the rest of the office staff have been super helpful. Bill from the maintenance team is so kind & has always been timely with our requests. We have recommended this ...complex to our family and friends and will continue to do so! Thank you for making our first renting experience so wonderful!Property Manager Responded

One complaint....
September 16, 2018I think it is going on 5yrs I have lived here. There is not a building behind me which makes it nice and peaceful. My only major complaint is: how the apartment was when I moved in. The painter, at the time, did not sand some rough spots or fill some holes around the windowsills. I may be picky about some things, but owning a home in the past, I did a lot of improvements myself. I think when someone moves out, they need to really take the time to fix these issues. I filled in the holes myself ...being pretty handy at that kind of stuff. My fridge stopped working and I had a new one that night. Are there things that need updated, yes. They did update all the faucets and are replacing the sliding glass doors, so that is a start. The washer and dryer cost is reasonable, just wish I could adjust the time on the dryers.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Horrible
November 20, 2015I lived here for 2 years. The top floor 2 bedrooms have washer/dryer in unit which was nice but maintenance was terrible. My refrigerator broke and the mainenance man said he would order a new one and it would be delivered in a few days....after FOUR MONTHS of repeated calls to the office and maintainance requests, a refrigerator was brought to the unit. The guys who delivered it said the head maintenance guy was keeping it in their shed the entire time so he could keep his drinks cold. All that ...time I couldn't keep fresh food in my apartment and had to eat out for 4 months. Also I had to have my door knob replaced and they installed the bolt backwards and it didn't close properly. I had to fix it myself. My neighbors dog barked for hours on end at all hours of the day and complaining every day did nothing even though there are township ordinances against barking dogs. Moving out was the best day of my life. Save yourself the waste of money and look somewhere else. I am only giving it one star because it won't allow me to give zero. Management will likely reply that management changes have occurred but in my 2 years, maintainance and front office staff changed at least 3 times. Great location at a reasonable rate.
August 7, 2015There are 12 units in each of the 20 or so buildings. Walking distance to a variety of fast food restaurants, small retailers, a major department store, and a large grocery store. Pets are welcome and the residents are friendly. The maintenance staff is quick to respond and appliances are being upgraded. Two laundry rooms in each building with overpriced, but large washers and dryers. The pool is not heated, but kept clean and there are grills and picnic tables available throughout the ...complex and a small playground for the children. Frustrating place to live
March 13, 2014I have lived in this apartment complex for more than a year, the stay was tolerable at best. During this past winter, the road was not plowed until late afternoon, making it near impossible to get a car up the hill. I began parking my car at the top of the hill and walking up because the road was not properly cared for. The office did not seem to care about this issue for the residents. Anytime some broke in the apartment it would take days to weeks for a repair. The 24/7 maintenence is a joke, ...it was necessary to leave numerous voicemails, then finally walk into the office on a day off to put in a formal work order ticket. The office is open from 8-5, and not on weekends, making it difficult for working residents to put more money on laundry card or other put in work orders. Help is rude, not caring, and complains in front of the residents. Not a professional or comforting environment to live in.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
