Renters Reviews and Ratings
Poorly maintained building
September 4, 2017Regardless of the management (bldg has had 3 owners in two years), they generally neglect the building. Elevator is constantly out of service for days to weeks at a time. The hallways smell of urine. Apartment repairs are not done with any urgency (I was once out of a refrigerator for 4 weeks! Why? Because the elevator wasn't working and I live above the 1st floor!). My rating is fair, because the units are spacious and the rent has been reasonable due to our area (border of Brownsville and East ...NY). Its surrounded by projects, shelters, factories, bus depots and empty lots, so there's not much to see around here. For the most part its pretty quiet, but there is a higher risk for crime. Its been over 5 years but my car has been vandalized at least 3 times and I was assaulted during daylight hours. So the lower rent comes with a price, and that's fine with me. Its just a real shame that they don't take care of the building. It feels as if they are trying to aggrevate us out of the building because there is really no other reason for their slackness.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
