Great location, but also a not-so-great location
August 12, 2015This apartment is perfectly situated in downtown Hoboken. Near the best bars (Cork City), restaurants, a block from a public park and a dog park. Less than a 10 minute walk to the PATH station and less than a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. Yet, it is set off of the main street so there is not a lot of noise pollution from people coming home from a late night of partying. Sounds perfect? Well, it almost is. The apartment is set across the street from a homeless shelter, which at certain hours of ...the night can be noisy and disruptive, but never an issue beyond that. Everyone in the neighborhood is very friendly and crime is unheard of. As for the building, all of the amenities are fairly new (not brand new). The management group is very committed to updating the residences, and has done a few renovations over the last few months. For the most part they are very good and containing the work as to not disrupt you during non-working hours. They are also very good at responding to issues with your unit in a quick and courteous manner. Dog-friendly (for a fee) and in-building washer & dryer (also for a fee, but not bad compared to local laundromats). All-in-all I would definitely recommend this apartment for a short term lease (a few years at most) to young professional working in the city.
