Unsafe
December 4, 2021Pros: Decent maintenance. Fair rent. Flexible leases. Close to things you want to do. Cons: Dangerous parking lot at night. Your car WILL be at high risk of being broken into. Drug den -- multiple drug users on the premises. You will encounter open drug use. Paper thin walls and floors -- you will hear everything. They have been replacing carpet with vinyl so you will hear everything above you. There are mice in the building -- I have caught 2 in my apartment. And know of other residents who ...have caught them as well. Random people will buzz your apartment in the middle of the night.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
In need of alot of updates
February 2, 2019I have lived here over 5 years and the rent has gone up considerably with no updates to anything in the building. The carpet in the halls is disgusting and in need of replacement. The appliances are old and constantly breaking down. There's two washers and two dryers that stop working at least once a month. The garden level hallway has flooded at least twice due to plumbing and maintenance issues. Maintenance responds quickly but often cause more damage fixing the issue. The walls are paper thin, ...you can and will hear everything, and your neighbors will hear you. There are mice - I've trapped two that got into my apartment The neighborhood has deteriorated so much I concern for my safety daily. I live on the garden level and have to leave my windows and blackout curtains closed and locked year round because people will try break in, whether i'm home or not. My car has been broken into while parked in the back, my bike has been stolen while secured in the bike rack, homeless people dig through the garbage in the back lot, people have graffiti-ed and carved things all around the building. For $50 a month you can park in the back lot, but its not monitored so anyone can park in your spot, and they don't do the best job at plowing in the winter. The only upside is the location and the cheap fiber internet. With all the new complexes being built in uptown, this apartment building probably won't last much longer being as old as it is.Property Manager Responded

Just don't.
August 23, 2018If you like to enjoy quiet time in your apartment after a long day of gallivanting or work, enjoy it while it lasts! You won't be able to enjoy that peace and relaxation here. The walls, floors, and ceilings are so painfully thin you'll feel like your surrounding neighbors will come crashing through at any moment. You'll be able to hear almost every word that is spoken in neighboring units, and you'll feel like you're part of the party when there are guests over. Which is often. Like every night. ...If you're lucky, like I was. Oh, and good luck sleeping at night if you live on the bottom or middle floor! You'll also likely be blessed with every floor creak and unreasonably heavy step from your neighbors above, right at that golden second before your FINALLY fall into slumber. Look into buying earplugs immediately after you sign your lease, because you'll definitely need them if your neighbors are jerks. IF you end up with quiet neighbors, and this is a big if, then this place is actually tolerable. It's in a great location, and many of the older tenants who have been living in the building for years are quite friendly. Parking is super easy to find on the street, so don't waste your money on parking in the back lot. Rent does go up a fair amount from year-to-year, which is honestly already overpriced for what you get. The only thing that makes it even slightly worth living here is the location. Maintenance is pretty quick in taking care of issues, but be careful to not leave anything valuable in their work area as it might get damaged. If you do choose to live here, for the love of all things holy, just be considerate. Remember that these are one-bedroom units meant for one person to live in, and know that your neighbors will be able to hear your every step and loud conversation. You're moving into a building full of people of different ages and walks of life. It is not a college dorm or frat house, so don't treat it like one. If everyone is considerate and keeps their noise to a minimum, maybe this place would be worth living in again one day soon. tldr: Cons: So, SO noisy. Seriously, buy earplugs, and don't be a jerk by adding to the noise. Overpriced for what you get. Pros: Location, location, location. Parking is easy to find; maintenance is quick.Property Manager Responded
