Don't trust the landlord
May 22, 2021I lived here a few years ago and it seemed decent enough until moving in. The kitchen sink was on a north facing wall with zero insulation, so the pipes froze multiple times in the winter. The shower started getting backed up with some black gunk and it turned out that the pipes had been installed in the cheapest way possible. Landlord first tried to get me to pay for new blinds before moving in (how is that my cost to pay?) and then made up a bunch of charges to screw me out of 2/3 of the ...security deposit when I left. Not recommended
August 23, 2017Ecton properties leased a unit in 2017 that was in pretty rough condition, very outdated and soiled from cigarette stains in the cabinetry. Strong odors from cigarettes resonated the first floor unit. All the cabinet hardware (which is easily replaceable) was tarnished and deplorable. I removed this hardware during my lease and replaced it when I moved out. When an exhorborent Fee was deducted from my security deposit the building manager stated it was due to the hardware! And I left the unit in ...great condition, cleaning from baseboards up and even scrubbing layers of filth from behind the refrigerator that had been obviously neglected for some time. The landlord, Dave Ecton, has no regard to return phone calls regarding the security deposit deduction, and I would advise that you avoid this property to keep your earnings out of a businessmans pocket. You would think a restoration professional would maintain his properties better and not penny pinch an honest renter.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
