Great for Families
August 3, 2015My family and I "reversed settled down" and moved from a 5 bedroom house in the suburbs back to the city. Wife and I have 2 kids (5 and 3). 723 8th Avenue was the needle in the haystack we were looking for. Best and worst: Best: - The 2 bedroom apt is on the smaller side (probably ~800 sq ft), but the layout is super optimal with a built in kitchen table, bookcases, and open floor plan. - Strollers and scooters, ect are left downstairs in the lobby behind the main locked door. No one ...bothers your stuff and super convenient. - Packages are left in that same area. Amazon Prime has been great. Like a doorman building without doorman prices. - Roof deck is new with great views. - Modern-looking apartment with brick exposure. - Good sized bedrooms. - Great use of space with lots of closet space. - 24x7 live in super and very responsive. - Washer/dryer downstairs (2/2) - Bike racks in basement. - Lots of kids in building. - Zoned for PS 107. - Super amazing location 1 ave from park and 1 ave from shops - best of both worlds. Worst - No garbage shoot - need to bring your garbage outside. - Walk-up - No doorman (although I find that completely fine given packages can be left) - Bathroom is a little small. Management wouldn't let us swap out glass door for curtain. - Building ownership changed right after we moved in so lots of unknowns now.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
