Great location but LOTS of serious interior problems
July 21, 2023Beware! Water leaking problems in units, even at high floors! Water leaked through window frames and along the ceiling during heavy storms causing mold and water bubbles in the wall beneath the windowsill and the ceiling plaster to eventually fall several times, which caused damage to furniture. Little heat this past winter (February and March 2023 in particular) - had to rely on space heaters. Mice droppings and actual sightings in the past. Ants are frequent in warm months. Laundry dryers ...inconsistently dried clothes. However, this was before new machines were installed in June 2023. Hallways are rundown and filled with strong cooking odors from many apartments. Stairwells have lots of cracks, broken railings, and questionable safety.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
City living, with a country feel
August 6, 2015This building is a fantastic way to be close to everything in NYC, but live right on Prospect Park. You can get into Manhattan in 25 minutes, and still have horses go by your apartment in the morning. Want to feel like you have a private stage with all your favorite artists? Step outside in the summer and hear Celebrate Brooklyn! right on your front steps. Elevator, gym, and world class doormen. If you need a studio or one bedroom apartment that feels like an oasis, look no farther.Review from Apartments.com
CONVENIENT BUILDING BY THE PARK
July 22, 2015The apartment I have been in is nice as it has a great view of the bridge and is bright during the day. It is right by Prospect Park which is great when owning dogs. My building also does not mind pets of all sizes or require an extra fee - which is super great! The downside is the building is full of 1 bedroom units only which makes the idea of upgrading impossible. Also, the interior could be renovated quite a bit which is an ongoing process. Halls and lobby could be cleaned more often. ...Appliances are nice and there is a laundry room in the building. However, the gym is an extra monthly fee which I think should be included. Location is great as it is a safe neighborhood 3 blocks from the F/G line and there are little cafes and bars opening up around the neighborhood. As well as a new grocery store! However, this is leading to significant rent increase. Overall, a pretty good building.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
