The only downside to the building is that management isn't great--they're a bit slow on maintenance requests, although if you nag enough, or if the problem is urgent, they'll usually get it done in a couple days. Main annoyance is that no one cleans the lobby/stairwell, so it gets grimey. Building and area are very safe--there's a keypad outside to unlock the door, and all the units have buzzers with a video feed so you can see who is outside ringing the bell before letting anyone in. The building also has rooftop access, which offers a not-too-shabby view of Brooklyn, and some of the Manhattan skyline. All in all, a great place to live, assuming you don't mind roommates. We're in New York, so I assume you don't.
