Poor Management Staff, Nickel and Dimes Residents
September 8, 2022Pros: location and maintenance staff. Cons: everything else. We lived in Boulder Creek for 3 years mostly due to the location and community we built during covid. However, this year our rent was raised almost 20% with no excuse. Even though we had been long term residents who endured a pandemic and mass shooting right across the street. Furthermore, the staff here is completely inept at their jobs. They were consistently out of the office during working hours and were slow to respond to ...inquiries. Since we have moved in they have completely bungled our moving in and out process and tacking on extra fees without warning. I also heard multiple accounts from neighbors that they frequently messed up pet payments and charged the deposit every month until the resident caught the mistake. Many reviews here say you won't get your security deposit back, and we even ended up having to pay over $400 in addition because of a 1/4 inch mark on our fridge. They claimed the dent impacted the use of the fridge and the whole door needed to be replaced which is just wasteful and shameful. While we do not regret our time here and loved living in South Boulder, a bad taste has been left in our mouths. Between absurd rental raises, poor communication, and apartment designs that clearly cut corners, we were driven out of this complex and feel no desire to return or work with Air Communities at large ever again.Property Manager Responded
September 30, 2022Hello, thank you for sharing your experience at Boulder Creek. We appreciate the feedback you have provided. We first want to thank you for your long term resident loyalty. This past year has seen a sharp increase in the housing market for purchases and leasing and we feel our rates are competitive and on par with similar communities within our area. Our staff will lock up our office when they are in the community with tours, resident move ins and outs and general concerns that need attention. Our goal is to answer all e-mails and return phone calls in a timely manner. We appreciate your feedback on this matter as we strive to meet this goal and improve this process. Upon inspection of an apartment after a resident moves out charges are assessed and determined by the result of this inspection and appear in each resident’s final account statement. If damages need to be addressed these charges will be deducted from their security deposit. Please reach out to our Community Manager or to ...ICanHelp@Aircommunities.com with further questions or concerns. We hope you are happily settled and we wish you the best! -Susan

Top notch service and quality apartments
August 28, 2015I was a tenant here for two years. During those two years, my rent was reasonable for the quality of service, unit, and amenities provided. I had nothing but excellent experience. The staff were prompt and responsive to maintenance needs. Also, when the delivery folks dropped off packages that required my signature at the front office because I wasn't home at the time, the front office staff were diligent with leaving a notice that I had a package waiting for me. The amenities were well ...maintained. I used the gym and the pool often as a result. Also, the dog park was well maintained, i.e., the dog poo was removed frequently and regularly by the staff if tenants failed to be responsible. When I was moving into Boulder Creek, they were renovating their units. I moved into their renovated units. Of course, it was clean with hardwood floor and new appliances. I had a two-in-one washing/drying machine that I used when I lived in Europe, which worked well. The apartment, I'd say, is in a prime location of Boulder. It is at the starting point of South Boulder, which is the residential area away from the general student housing, where it gets rowdy. But, it isn't so far south where it feels "dead." Getting to downtown was very easy with the bus stop located right across the street. Also, across the street, there is the 24/7 King Soopers available for grocery. I liked this place so much that I was considering purchasing one of their condo units, but alas, I moved to a different city.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great South Boulder Development
July 23, 2015This attractive development has beautiful pool areas, and a decently-equipped fitness center. The grounds are extremely well-maintained, and residents will be proud call to this home. It's not just the attractive grounds that make this a sought-after establishment, however. The variety of units available for rent are designed with up-scale decor that make coming home an event to look forward to.Review from Apartments.com
Beautiful, still overpriced
July 20, 2015Yes, the grounds are lovely. The pools are nice to have, and in general the apartments are kept up. However, they raise prices constantly- I've watched them jump several times on their website since moving in, and even when comparing with similar quality and size of other complexes, they really are overdoing it. Management seems to be actually improving somewhat in that I can actually get a response within a day or two. When I moved in, I signed a paper stating all the fixes needed in the ...apartment, and a year later, none have been completed. I had a very dangerous problem needing to be fixed by management in the spring and went down to the office in person to inform the woman at the desk. She literally brushed her hand in the air in my direction, grunted "I got you" and sent me away. Three weeks later, I returned to the office and learned she never told anyone. Oh yeah, parking isn't great- it doesn't anger me as much as I've heard from a lot of other people. A ton of college bros (nothing against them) have moved in and each one seems to have ten others over all the time, so there's no spots left for the people who live here. Assigned spots would be helpful. It'd be cool if they didn't smoke outside constantly, sinnnnnce the place is a non-smoking community. Pet fees are ridiculous, but they are in a lot of other apts I've been to. If you like closet space... Our one bedroom unit actually has not one real closet (the kind with a door that opens and closes in front of your hanging clothes or shelves. I've gotten pretty creative organizing and hiding my things into every single cranny to avoid living in a house with high school year books and bathroom toiletries stacked up in my bedroom. But yeah. It's really nice. I'd live here again just for the view of the flat irons across the street and walking distance to a really nice g store.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
