  • Run! Uncontrolled mold, no repairs finished, inept office management, nonsense floorplan

    Recurring issues: Not a single repair was actually completed. We were always told "I'll be back tomorrow," and then the repair was marked complete. Mold growing on the walls and window sills, bulging water damage on exterior walls, water leaking under the door, cracks in the baseboard big enough for bugs to crawl in from outside, a giant poorly-patched cut-out in the ceiling drywall of one of the bedrooms (which I later found out was where the ceiling had burst the year before), constantly ...
    chipping paint, squishy floors that dent under the weight of a chair, an entire wall where no outlets worked (reported but never fixed), and none of the light switches are where they should be (for example across the room from the only door, around the corner and down the hall from the living room). We reported the mold and named it was causing health issues, and they didn't respond until I submitted another report 2 weeks later. Then they sent people who thought they were just supposed to wash the windows to clean it up with no PPE before painting over what was left. Inept management: Suspicious utility charges - supposed to be by use but was exactly $150.00 every month except 1. They had a promotion to get people to move to their other building with 2 months of free rent and no fees for breaking their current leases, but didn't tell all residents, which led to our roommate breaking the lease with no notice or repercussions. The apartment manager told us it was so they wouldn't lose a loan because of how empty the other building was and that we were essentially SOL. They couldnt tell us what out final move-out rent would be, instead saying it would be "about $x since it'll be day x." They also gave no move-out procedures, and changed the keys to the laundry room (which had the dropbox to the office) without notice.
