STAY Away!!!
October 28, 2022I am a current resident been here for approximately 6 months. I would Stay Away. The cheap price is nice but it is still overpaying for all of the nagging issues. My personal list is below and I urge other current residents to post their list to save the next persons piece of mind. - Noted as dog friendly yet no dog stations, no off leash play area, and really no easily accessible trash cans for when people actually do pick up poop an action that is rare among residents. - Constant stolen ...packages notices (3 stolen personally out of like 7 total). Note the management refuses to do anything to change the situation or help find who is stealing them just says file a report. - Basic security issues. Front door doesn't actually lock 90% of the time lock. I have seen homeless sleeping in front lobby chairs. Also i believe a contributing factor to the package thing above. - Mailboxes are not behind any locked doors aka open to the public. where the packages get dropped again contributing to the package stealing issue. - I have had my catalytic converter stolen and have heard many other catalytic converter incidents from fellow residents. In my incident i inquired multiple times to the staff for video or anything to give to detectives but no information was given from them. - Elevators are notorious for stranding people. Even the one they sent an email out about today saying it worked i heard had someone stuck in it for an hour. Their excuse is the door being held open too long breaks it and they blame the residents instead of maybe getting a new elevator, maybe one with a ceiling that doesn't have the lights taped to the ceiling. - Maintenance management system is third party and causes issues for the staff. Which leads to open maintenance request being open and unaddressed for more than 3 months at times. -No onsite management EVER. The two maybe three maintenance men are forced to work on 4 different buildings (2 other complexes and edge water) and edgewater is obviously the last priority and in the worst shape. I'm sure If i sat here longer i could list many more issues but i am tired and out of words. Final note: I love the area but the management and the building has really made it a headache to live in this area. Stay away go find an apartment complex not run by Birge and HeldProperty Manager Responded
