    I lived at Encore 281 for 2 and a half years. My first year living there I didn't really run into any issues. However, as the construction got further along off 281 the area became very different. My guest visiting me had their catalytic converter stolen from their truck and their tires slashed. A few weeks later, I came out one morning to the hood of my car propped open and fellow residents car windows were broken. Because of these instances, I had to get a garage because I no longer felt my ...
    vehicle was safe in the community parking lot. There were very few garages available which meant I had to walk a far way just to get back to my apartment from the garage. The pool is often dirty, trash is always piled up, dog poop everywhere and the propane tank to the grill is almost always empty. The gate is constantly broken and visitor parking is all the way in the back of the complex, making it difficult for anyone visiting to navigate. There are often cops driving or stopping through the community and car alarms will be going off in the middle of the night. When bringing up my safety concerns with management, I was told that "it's just because of the state of the economy" ... When I moved out, I was told that management couldn't find my security deposit or pet deposit in their files anywhere. I would HIGHLY suggest to look elsewhere for an apartment that is in a different location and not directly off the busy highway.

    Highly recommend Encore 281 to anyone looking to lease an apartment in a quiet setting. I’ve been here for over 2 years now & have not had any major issues. Maintenance is quick if you do have a problem. The pool area is nice with nice grills available. Overall, my favorite apartment I have lived in.

    I was forced to move for safety reasons however i was given a “non renewal” letter because i spoke up about ALL THINGS wrong. The staff (this is 3rd management in as many years)is not very caring of their tenants. Trash is always an issue as well as the dumpster over flowing every weekend. Looks “trashy” lol around the community. NO security patrol like their was when i moved in. Cops are there almost nightly. Dog poop is always a problem. Summarize, their are better run places to live I imagine ...
    in Texas. Keep shopping!!

    We have been here for 2 years now and although there has been a bunch of change in terms of management they have also made a lot of nice changes and renovations to the property in terms of trash pick up, painting a different color and maintenance has always been great.

    The community used to be nice. Now, they let lower classes move in. Cops are called frequently. Trash is more frequent on the grounds. Tenants leave trash pick up outside ALL the time even weekends when there isn't trash pick up. There is a cat spraying regularly and no one will do anything. We used to have security but forget that. Just disappointed

    Great place, has been safe and quiet for my family and I. Traffic on 281 is crazy with construction but once inside the community it’s a quiet community. No pests, no drama.

    Generally a quiet place to live. Could do with some exterior painting, breezeways are a bit dark and gloomy. But I like it here! Will be much easier access once 281 is finished.

    I’ve been living at this property for almost 4 years and I’m looking forward to ending this lease. Recently, the property has undergone new management and it has been downhill from there. Staff is almost always no help and very unenthusiastic (treat you like a burden), visitors being allowed to park in residential spaces (towing contract isn’t cohesive with leasing agreement), valet trash picks when to do their job, residential gates were left open for nearly a year, there are poop-infested ...
    walkways, neighbors have reported being robbed/assaulted in parking lot due to poor lighting and no cameras (lights/cameras are only around the leasing office and we’ve complained about this for YEARS), there are car break-ins, sometime-ish access to amenities, the garages malfunction, lack of parts on hand (AC broke in the summer, maintenance couldn’t fix until management ordered parts), properly tagged fire extinguisher was exchanged for one in a box without an expiration label or inspection tag (when contacted about this, staff told me it was within code as long as they remember when it was purchased, this is NOT true and AGAINST NFPA GUIDELINES), no longer have access to resident portals to file complaints or just to make community posts, emails goes unread, endless construction, and it is very NOISY. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

    I toured this place on Saturday and the leasing consultant was not professionally dressed, didn’t look like she cared about selling this place to me and was unenthusiastic the whole time. She barely showed me around and looking at the apartment there was things they cut corners on to save money. The grounds from what I can see were not well kept, rust on door handles and for being a new property should be kept better.
