Not a fan
December 21, 2021Lived here a few months ago and I didn’t enjoy it. At the start, I was excited about the property because it was close to a school so I assumed it would be a safe area. Come to find it’s not. There were people in the neighborhoods behind me that would blast ranchero music way late into the morning. I also assumed that with the pricing of the apartments that people here would have jobs. Come to find a lot of people here are living here at a discounted rate, which is probably why my rent was so ...high. A lot of the residents do not follow the terms of the lease and good luck trying to get the manager to enforce them. I think their mentality is that once they have the unit rented, they could really care less. The unit was alright…overpriced and not the nicest but it was acceptable. The neighbors are too close, too loud and too disrespectful. If you have standards, keep looking because this place has clearly never set any for itself.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
This property is okay
October 21, 2020I lived happy here. I felt safe due to security. They happily fixed all of things that we asked to get fixed. We almost got all of our deposit. My neighbors were nice. Cons... the stairs are to steep I fell and bruised my toe bad while holding my baby. My daughter fell and bump her head. my mom step dad and other family memebrs slipped. I caught people giving their dogs water from the kids waterfountyin in the park..pne thing that bothered me is not having a covered patio... Also, I wouldnt call ...them luxury but they are nice apartments. overall I would recommend these apartments except ill let them know to be careful with the stairs since they are a bit steep and feel awkward.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Would not recommend at all
January 9, 2018I've been living here a year and can't wait to leave. If one looks at the news, they will find that there recently a very brutal murder that was committed against one of the residents. The body was left laying out in the open for hours and security did not even see the body. It is unknown what they were doing(they have been known to sleep on the job) To make matters worse there have been two break in's within the past month and again the suspects have not been caught. In spite of the lazy ...security, there is a large display of arrogance among the office staff. Bring them your rent and don't expect service with a smile. March 11, 2017Wow ! Just wow ! I couldn't be any happier in my new home ! I can say that EVERYTHING about Golden Valley Luxury Apartments is just perfect! I have two kids and it blew me away how much my kids love it here also . The apartment was very clean, The appliances are up to date, the area is just so CLEAN ! I couldn't be any happier! the worste place I've ever lived in!
March 10, 2017I had few apt with them... don't accpect do get any of your deposit back!! i mean that not just they taking all the deposit to them on all the apt.. they also charge me extra $1000 on each apt!! even apt of 3 months that i lived there!!! what ever they do over there it's a fraud !! i have videos that show that there is no damage to the apt..! just don't rent there !!Review from Apartments.com
Real Life at Golden Valley!!!!
February 24, 2016I have lived at Golden Valley for a year and a half now and I must say I have been somewhat happy with these apartments. These are nice apartments on the inside seeing that they have beautiful granite counter tops, and nice appliances. Not to mention each apartment comes with a great washer and dryer. There is also plenty of space in the apartments as well. I would give a 5 star rating but there are 3 MAJOR issues with these apartments that are the reason for me moving out in May when my lease is ...up. The first problem is if you hate bad smells this is not the place for you. For some reason at night there is a very HORRID smell outside and I don't know where it comes from. The smell is so bad that even is you have all of your windows and doors close it WILL still get in and have your apartment smelling extremely bad. The second issue and I must say this is the worst one is that the walls are absolutely PAPER THIN. If you are a fan of peace and quiet this is DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. The walls are so thin I can hear EVERY conversation my neighbors have. Even if they are not talking loud I CAN STILL HEAR THEM. I am hearing them right now as I am typing this review. I work from home so this is a major issue. Unfortunately my neighbors have small toddlers so every time they have a temper tantrum or cry I CAN HEAR IT. When it comes to the electronics it gets even worse. If your neighbor puts their TV or radio on the wall you are sharing, it will sound as if you are in the same room. The 3rd problem is the price of these "Luxury" apartments I am in a 2bd and pay 1125. With these two issues plus others its totally NOT worth it and I cant wait till my lease is up. There are other issues but those are the major ones. So honestly if you get lucky enough to get an apartment with quiet neighbors and NO small children these apartment may be a great fit but otherwise try to look else where you will be a lot happier in the end.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 16, 2015Thanks to apartment.com it made searching for a place to live super easy. With so little time i had. I moved to Bakersfield, CA and found a great place called Golden Valley Luxury Apartments.this place has everything you would want to be comterable as possible. Luxury. Luxury?
July 26, 2015The word Luxury is in the name of these apartments, but many times I can see it is anything but. Several times, the apartment management has allowed and even encouraged Liberal leaning questionnaire takers, and local political figures into the complex to give their views to the residents. We residents have the luxury of giving these folks the brush off, after being disturbed by the doorbell, and knock. We also have the luxury of requesting access to the fitness center, because the door can only ...be unlocked by security in order to protect the long broken equipment. The luxurious club house is only used by security, since none of the residents are allowed access without paying to use it. Access to outside luxury water was recently denied to all, by the removal of all the faucet handles, due to a handful of kids. Some residents have a long distance luxury stroll to take out their garbage, as the many dumpsters have been replaced with barely used mixed recycling containers adorned with signs vowing a $100 fine for filling them with non-recyclables. This is, of course, in addition to the strolls to arbitrarily assigned parking two or more buildings away, and mail boxes on the opposite side of the common area. The only true luxuries are the granite counter tops, pool area, and the well kept common areas and walks.
