Yes, I know this complex is old and I wasn't expecting brand new appliances or updated cabinets or anything of that sort, but a CLEAN place would have been a great start. Upon move in I let them know of things that needed to be fixed. Maintenance did about half of it. As a result, a few months later, the ceiling in the bathroom start to bubble and sag from the humidity. Due to my work schedule, I am not home during operating hours that maintenance handles items, which is fine, so I would make sure to schedule things well in advance and make sure I was home to let my dog out because they repeatedly told me they would not enter my apartment with my dog inside. Even when scheduling in advance, things would not get done. Or they would tell me they came by and knocked and no one answered...which in a 400 sq ft apartment with a dog, I am almost positive that either the dog or I would have heard a knock. Another time, maintenance claimed they came by to fix something or other, I was home all day, and they never did even after checking in with the office. So I gave up and went to work the next day because I couldn't take another vacation day. When I arrived home on the following day, I found a work order on my kitchen counter, so they were entering my apartment on days that I didn't allow and lying about the work they had done and when they had done it. The property itself is maintained decent enough, minus the dumpsters which are a mess but I guess that would be the tenants messy fault as well as dog pick up or lack thereof. The laundry room and gym are usually picked up as well. The pool area always looks nice and they have a small BBQ for use. The neighbors are friendly and will always say hi, there is not a bad vibe there. I love this location, pricing is definitely below the typical south Lamar apartment but I've had such a rough move in and experience that I would rather pay a higher rent than live here.
