Best Apartments in North Long Beach
June 8, 2023I love Kerrwood Manor !!! Our property manager "Leo" has made our little complex are genuine community. We are super close to the major freeways; so very convenient. And there are (2) parks and wonderful food choices you can walk to !! I was afraid to live in an apartment, but Kerrwood is safe, and the apartments are spacious. I thank "Leo" for all her efforts to make sure this is the best place in North Long Beach to call HOME !!!Property Manager Responded

It’s cool here.
May 29, 2020I moved into my studio in early March of this year (2020). I just did my application online and provided proof of income and credit. I heard back in a couple days and had a tour scheduled for the next week. The manager here, Isaac was helpful and kind through the whole paperwork and move in process. The property is clean and maintained well. My neighbors are cool. It’s pretty quiet here. This used to be a rough area but it’s cleaned up a bit. I don’t feel unsafe. I dunno. I haven’t had any ...issues. I’m happy here. It’s only been a few months but I don’t see any issues.Property Manager Responded

Great Property and location
May 28, 2020I currently reside inside Kerrwood Manor and I have little to zero complaints. Issac the Property Manager has been great from the start to now. Very responsive and always available. The property itself is well kept, well lit, and safe. As a young woman I feel very safe at this location. Building has faulty wiring. Managers are incompetent
October 16, 2019January 2019 unit caught fire. Report states undetermined cause but mentions faulty wiring in the building. Managers were trying to be helpful but had no regard for tenant health or safety. Always offered the bare minimum to a fault. Offered scented air freshener as solution to smoke smell in all nearby units of the one that was engulfed in flames. Failed to mention the asbestos in the burned unit and refused to provide safe alternatives for tenant temporary housing. When discussing tenant rights ...with upper management, litigation was mentioned and was told multiple times to “get an attorney”. Horrible management and unsafe building.Property Manager Responded

Only apply if you can qualify to buy a house...
August 8, 2017I was asked a series of questions that involved proving credit, money in the bank, bank statements, and a ton of other things and asked lots of questions by the "Property manager" which he didn't want to disclose was himself. I have never felt Interrogated by a rental property just for a 1 bedroom Apartment rental. Steer clear....on a very poor side of town.Property Manager Responded
December 11, 2017In order to qualify for an apartment, we require the residents to make a combined income of 3x the rent, and do not have bankruptcies or evictions. Applicants also want to have available lines of credit and/or no delinquencies on their account. The Plenty of Places application requires 1 month of income documents and Identification. If you do not make 3x the rent or have delinquencies on your account, we ask for more documents so that we could qualify the applicant. I am sorry that you did not qualify for the apartment. Please feel free to re-apply once you improve your credit and/or income so that you can afford to live on this side of town. Best regards,

August 2, 2015The apartment is clean and quiet, but the landlord likes to increase the rent!!!!! Once you move in, it is troublesome to move out. Landlord knows that so he/she increases the rent after 1 year, then half year..and half year..... Be careful of this aparment!Property Manager Responded
December 11, 2017Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Plenty of Places management offer month to month leases for residents with a $500 early termination fee if you leave prior to 6 months. The rental market in Long Beach is extremely strong so we are constantly trying to catch up to our competition. If a resident receives a rent increase, it is because the current market price for that particular floor plan has gone up. If you are below the market rate, you can expect a 3-6% rent increase every 6 months of residency, until you are at market rent.
