July 28, 2021Maintenance issues since day 1. Went two weeks straight w/o AC in late (hotter part of) May while “corporate” haggled over whether to approve a new air handler. Broken mail lock for 4 straight weeks. Lack of communication with leasing office about appointments with contractors. Being that we are still in a pandemic- it would be considerate (and professional) to get advanced notice of when strangers are entering your domicile. Appliances older than dirt. No apologies for inconveniences even when ...the management is obviously at fault. August 8, 2018I've lived in many different communities and chose this one because it was affordable. Sure, the units were dated and the upgrades were cheap (in quality... They were definitely expensive), but the rent was decent and the neighborhood was safe. The manager would take forever to respond to communication- often weeks later and after multiple emails were sent. So, after I found out that they were raising the rent by over 7% I moved and have been thrilled to have done so. But the worst part? ...They kept my deposit without seen saying any communication at all. I shouldn't have to follow up on something that is completely standard practice. STAY AWAY!
May 4, 2018I filled out an application before viewing the property and was charged a $300 deposit before even committing to a lease. I decided not to move forward with unit because it was directly behind the dumpsters and the company will not give me my deposit back. The townhome was off of the market for 1 day, and they are keeping my $300. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not do business with these people.Review from Apartments.com
Lochridge- Ticon Properties
August 4, 2015I've lived here since 2011 and although I have had some issues with management (nothing is ever perfect)I can say this is the best place I have lived. The homes and the grounds are well maintained and for the most part it is pretty quiet here. Every townhome has a slightly different layout and they are decently sized. Although the rent has gone up every year I have lived here, its still a better value than you'll find anywhere in Durham. These townhomes are located in a nice community, Woodcroft, ...where you can enjoy the American Tobacco trails and great restaurants. This community is composed of mostly young professionals and families and is pet friendly. Parking is very strict at Lochridge because there are assigned parking spots (This is the only Ticon property that has assigned parking) but there are a few spots that are not numbered so guests can park in these spots or in the cul-de-sac when turning in. This complex usually remains at 100% occupancy so if units are available make sure you apply!
