Horrid, Just Horrid
September 7, 2022DO NOT LIVE HERE. First day I moved in, must've killed 15+ roaches. Fridge shelves were broken, cabinets didn't lay flush, blinds on the windows had either missing or broken blades. The hallways had a smell that would linger on your clothes hours after you walk through the halls for a few minutes. The management is just absolutely the worst. I had to jump through more hoops than a circus animal just to be able to apply. The long list of rules for this place would be understandable if the complex ...was nice. This wasn't the case. Had an orientation to move in and the woman running it was arguably the rudest person I've ever talked to. Community was not nice except for a few people. Gym is hilariously a joke. A couple machines from the 80's and visibly broken. I couldn't live there for longer than a week. The complex still owes me deposits (3 deposits btw) that were agreed to be given back and it has been a couple months and haven't seen it yet. Please PLEASE do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. 3 Months so far
July 5, 2022I’m 3 months into my 12 month lease. Here is what I noticed so far. Front office never picks up the phone. They literally unplug the phone “to get work done” since it’s one person that is in charge. They literally never pick up the phone so don’t try. Very unhelpful, having to walk to the front office for a very simple yes or no question is annoying. Security at the front gate don’t take their job seriously. They (mainly the male security guards) will let anyone in without taking down their names ...and other information. Elevators are down at least once a week; I once saw an old man with back related impairments crying as he had to take the stairs to the fourth floor. Also saw a man carrying his elderly grandma up the stairs while also carrying her groceries. The complex is quiet enough and maintenance does a decent job with the exterior (yet the stairwells always smell like pee) BUT it’s hard to overlook such big problems. I want to like it but there is a need of more people in the office, the security need to stick to protocol and these elevators need to be working consistently. I would also like to add, they have a very bare pool area. No pool chairs, no shade, no nothing.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

You couldn't pay me to live here
February 2, 2019Literally the worst place to live. Roaches everywhere the worst association on the face of the Earth. Water pipes that are always busted. Elevators are busted all the time. The absolute worst parking enforcement ever, towing without warning, and just altogether a really crappy place to live. Don't move hereReview from Apartments.com
Monte Carlo Must Read!!!!!!
July 19, 2018Just moved(JUNE 30,2018) These condos in located in north Miami Beach Fl and is right by the highway and many stores on one road gas,Walmart, food ,malls . They are spacious , nice hardwood floors and being renovated . There is really no noise , no car break ins and residents are respectful . The pool is what i enjoyed the most BUT the gym was outdated with broken machines and it does have a roach issue and the best way to deal with it is buying some stuff at Walmart for it because pest control ...doesn’t help. You have to pay extra $40 a month for another parking space . If I wasn’t moving to another state would of made it my permanent home because Miami is pricey . Make sure you read the move in/out paper because they will keep your deposit if you use the wrong elevator or don’t obey the Time. THE UNITS ARE EXPENSIVE NOW but still cheaper than most places .Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
BEWARE!
August 14, 2016For the love of God do NOT rent here! Our apartment is beautiful, hard wood floors and all updated appliances thanks to our landlord. BUT, for the price we are paying .. We expected to be roach free. Wrong. The buildings are infested!! The association holds the tenants responsible for pest control which results in people not paying for an exterminator. We spray multiple times a month and they keep coming back Bcuz the association does nothing. The manager of this place is the rudest, nastiest, ...most unfriendly person I've ever met. They don't care about their tenants at all. Every space only has one parking space and an extra one is $40 a month! They once shut the water off for what was supposed to be 3 hours, turned into 24 hours. The landscaping is almost non existent and the pool is never open. Expensive and not worth it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Sizable units at cheap price but horrible service
September 11, 2015I currently live in a sizable two bedroom unit at Monte Carlo Condominiums. Although the property is a condominium, it was built in the 1970s and designed as a mid-rise apartment complex and was converted during the South Florida Condo conversion craze. After the conversion and the real estate crash, many of the units were acquired by local and out of state investors as rental units. Many of the residents are transient renters. There are very few remaining owner-occupants. The units are large, ...the rent is very low by South Florida standards, and the property has great freeway access to 95 and the Palmetto (826). Although the price and location are great, the property has several deficiencies. The largest is the property management company. The community manager and her assistant are very unprofessional and petty. Their combative nature have made several tenants feel uncomfortable due to constant harassment. The property has controlled access arms which is manned by live security, however the guards do not ID or stop anyone (resident or stranger) who walks past their station and around the control arms. Although most residents are quiet and keep to themselves, security only seems to harass residents and guests about assigned parking. They will not extend a professional courtesy of calling you before they tow your car and they rarely address noise disturbances or the appearance of the parking lot. Finally, the age of the structure and lack of financially capable unit owners has resulted in a situation where many of the buildings are substandard and probably have numerous building code and safety violations. All on-site washer and dryers were removed due to electrical deficiencies and we're never replaced. The city has cited the community on at least one occasion during my residence for non-compliance. We have also had water and sewer lines burst in our unit due to age and lack of an on-going maintenance program. Finally, the pest prevention program has proven largely inadequate resulting in a large presence of roaches regardless of the cleanliness of the units.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
