They'll charge if your mop water does not come out clear. I scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom, they still charged me for cleaning but had no photos of proof due to lighting. I was charged for years old oil stain on the oven racks that I couldn't even get out. Who checks oven racks when they move in?! Bugs in the window, charged. One drip of grease on the side of stove, charged. Light clean of fridge, charged. Small drop of jam on cabinet, charged. Seriously, you must be present for a final cleaning with the cleaning people. I didn't realize a move-out clean would be this strict. The landlord rarely answers their phone, they'll call you back if you leave a voice message. I had attempt to contact them numerous times on move out day but couldn't get a hold of anyone. It was my misunderstanding to not be present when the cleaners came by, so I was charged for every little thing. I even moved out a couple days early thinking this would benefit both of us. Aside from the landlord not answering their phones, they still communicate via emails (even if it takes a few days), they just have very nit-picky cleaners that you will pay for. Nonetheless, this was a lesson learned and I will be sure to take photos before and after a move from now on.
