GOD BLESS MARIA!!!
February 5, 2019I recently transferred from another Dechiaro property at Queen Anne to Pickwick to be closer to my job. Thanks to Maria, the property manager for BOTH properties, and her excellent maintenance staff, my move could not have been more perfect. I was treated like their only tenant. Maria and her excellent maintenance staff went far beyond the "call of duty" to make my move as stress-free and easy as possible. Any and all requests were done lightning-fast and with perfection. Her response to e-mails ...and/or calls were miraculously returned within MINUTES!! My calls to maintenance were answered just as fast and the work done professionally, quickly, and ALWAYS with a smile. Randy, Josh, and Buddy have been there for me at all times, helping to make my apartment the wonderful home it is!! Under the direction of Maria, both apartment developments are kept spotless clean and snow removal is amazing!!! When in the office on several occasions, I've overheard Maria speak with other tenants both on the phone and in person with the same exact professionalism, caring, and concern as if they were her only tenant. She has a heart of gold and nerves of steel. I honestly don't know how she does it. She travels a long distance from home to work, no matter what the weather, and yet she is ALWAYS in the office by 6 a.m. and answers all calls/concerns at that time. In closing, I thought the best part of my move would be living closer to work, BUT in reality the best part of my move was having Maria as the property manager, along with her professional, pleasant, and caring maintenance staff. Thank you Maria, Randy, Josh, and Buddy!!! Thank you Dechiaro for hiring such a gem!!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nobody is Perfect Part 1
May 16, 2018Been here for 7-8 years. When I moved in the carpet were not new, the window blinds were filthy and sticky and the batheokm floor grout were disgusting! I cleaned everything. Oh the 1st few weeks I moved in the oainter who did a paint job/maintenance left my front door open ajar when I came home from work at 5:30pm! 1st month I was here, my kitchen cabinets developed molds; called the office numerous times and got some lame excise that they will fix it; finally after more than a week sent a ...letter stating that they will have to pay for my medical expenses if I get hospitalized due to my fiagnosed allergies if they don't do anything about the molds for proper removal and cleaning. When they do upgrades inside your apartment, don't expect the contractor or maintenance to clean up after themselves. And if you have any form of insect infestation or leak on your sink, the office and maintenance is quick to blame that its your fault without even inveatigating the whole story here. And they do have mice in here due to the 1st floor/basement level apartments will have small cracks, holes or open areas from the outside leading to the inside that insects and mouse can get in; every summer I have a few singing crickets inside of my apartment every summer. Nice right?.. And in a few years of stay l, everything starts falling apart: the refrigerator 2x (been replaced by same okder unit), washer and dryer 2x (replaced by older unit), oven 4-5x (replaced 2x by older unit and each time its filthier than the last one). HVAC breaks down 3-4x/year every winter and summer season and I am left without heat/cool air for days. Sometimes they would offer a portable heater or a window AC but not all the time. Beware of Kim, she rarely follows up with anything you call her for any issues. Maria the property manager is more efficient, she mainly covers up for the faults of Kim and will never acknowledge the shortcomings of Kim. Better record your phone conversations with Maria coz her story can change when you have issues with other tenants or unwritten "courtesy policy" per the management. I see people/tenants here who has dogs and honestly they don't look these dogs are for emotional support; anyone can buy a certificate online for that. Horrible residents here when it comes to parking, my car has alot of dents and scratches like they can't see the car when they park or leave the parking lot and will never leave you a note.Property Manager Responded
July 20, 2018I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Assuming you no longer live here after 8 years. I am not sure when these issues occurred, considering you did not identify yourself and I (Maria) have only been here for 3 years. We always strive to give good service, but we are not perfect and I have many changes to improve maintenance and the community. Unfortunately, no matter where you live, renting or owning issues will come up. Since you were here for 8 years, I am hoping that the majority of your time was pleasant. If you are still a current resident I would be happy to meet with you to make sure that your home is in great condition.

They are aweful
October 22, 2016If you want a complex that doesn't care about its residents then this place is for you. If you complain about rats or bugs they will tell you it's your fault. If you say that your appliance don't work they will say it's because you don't know how to use appliances. If you say you want to renegotiate your lease for new appliances they will charge you and give you different but old appliances. If you say that heat and ac don't reach the rooms they will tell you thats just how these things work. Oh ...and you will just love the smell of your neighbors cigarette smoke through your walls halls and vents!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Pickwick
January 28, 2016Very quiet, clean area to live. My apartment is HUGE and I LOVE our walk-in closet. The maintenance department is so helpful and friendly. Joshua, the supervisor, is so competent, efficient, and nice. We can always count on him. The apartments may need renovating in the future, but all in all, WE LOVE IT HERE!Review from Apartments.com

September 17, 2015My family and I have been residence here for 8years now and will be 9years total in April 2016. We prayed for a home that was close to public transportation, shopping, with friendly neighbors as well as a diverse community and close to schools for our daughter. Well God blessed us with everything we asked for. Not only did we get what we asked for but we received so much more. Wonderful landlords, a GREAT maintenance department (very friendly staff), a beautiful clean and well kept ...community. Being in the community is like being a part of a family. It says a lot when residence have been there for over 30 years. M.Jones, Baltimore, MDRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
