Kansas City - Hidden Gem of the Midwest Schooling: Serrano Luxury Townhomes are located within the North Kansas City school district. The NKC Schools currently have an Annual Performance Reports (APR) of 97.9%. They have earned both state and national accreditation and are recognized throughout Missouri as a leader in academic innovation. This includes Staley High School which is in the 93.2 percentile in the state and has a student teacher ratio of 17.7 to 1. Kansas City: Although Kansas City has been considered sort of a hidden gem in the Midwest, the year 2015 drew in 24 million visitors. CNN Money ranked KC as number 2 in their “Top Ten Best Cities for Jobs” article. Not only is it an incredible place in regards to the job market, but in Kansas City there is always something to do. Whether you spend your day going to a Royals game (2015 World Series Champs!), or maybe you’d rather head to a Chief’s game at Arrowhead, the neighboring stadium, which broke the world record for loudest stadium in the NFL. Or perhaps you’d rather visit one of the museums, or maybe attend the ballet or the symphony at the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. You could even walk around the Country Club Plaza and see some of the over 200 fountains that have put KC as number 2 in the running for city with the most fountains, falling short of Rome. Or you could visit one of Kansas City’s famous BBQ joints. There truly is something for everyone here in Kansas City. Kansas City is a city that continues to grow, yet still encompasses a homey feel. With major companies, such as Ford Motor Company, Hallmark Cards, Sprint, DST Systems, AT&T, Cerner, and many more companies, Kansas City houses an incredible job market. One of the leading fields for job openings is medical, with the growing demand from large organizations like St. Luke’s-Shawnee Mission Health Systems, Health Midwest, KU Medical Center, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Truman Medical Center, and so many more. Despite all of the job growth, Kansas City is ranked in the top 5 U.S. cities with the least traffic. Kansas City was ranked in the top 20 of the best affordable places to live in the United States by U.S. News. Missouri has housing costs that are generally 25% lower than the rest of the country. Neighboring Missouri is Kansas, which while still considered a very affordable state has slightly higher rent than Missouri by about $1000. Kansas City is ranked number 3 for best ‘starter cities’ in the United States by CNBC. As Kansas City continues to grow and develop it has also increased its rank as one of the best-performing large cities, reflecting the value that Kansas City holds in so many aspects. Coined as Walt Disney’s childhood home and where he started in the animation business, Kansas City has TONS of history and hidden treasures. From Glace Artisan Ice Cream, which was named one of the best ice cream spots in the U.S., to being the first city to introduce Happy Meals, there’s always something you can learn and discover while living here.

Great place to live!
October 21, 2019Just moved in and love it already. Being a young adult, I've found most places do not take me seriously or treat me with the same respect as they would an older person. However, the staff here was not like that at all. They have been so friendly and helpful to my boyfriend and I. The rooms are spacious, kitchen is beautiful, lots of storage space, and the remote controlled fireplace is brilliant. Also, the people here are so friendly, I had 2 neighbors immediately come introduce themselves and ...gave me their numbers in case I needed anything. My only suggestions for the place is that they either need to limit the amount of cars allowed per building or figure out something to fix all the cars parked on the street. I've never seen a neighborhood so flooded with cars to the point you can barely drive through. Also, the garages are very small so it probably wouldn't be good for people with larger cars. Luckily, I have a small Chevy and it works for me just fine! But overall, I am loving this place and would recommend living here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible
September 29, 2019Cheaply built, even cheaper management. If you're looking for somewhere decent, look elsewhere. They will accept anyone/anything at these "homes". The second MGC Leasing took over, the neighborhood went downhill, and I'm talking a black diamond skiing downhill. They don't care about the neighborhood, they care about making sure money comes in the door, which is funny because our door would easily let money in since it leaks air and water in. Our neighbors are horrible, loud at all hours inside ...and out of the building. Oh yeah, the windows can barely be considered windows. You can hear everything from outside with window closed. They also leak during every rainstorm, which is fun. Cigarette butts all over the place. Clothes in the back "yard". Pot heads. Yes, they'll accept you if this is what you're looking for. Definitely not a good place to have pets. They haven't even developed the "Green space" for pets. It's been over 2 years since that was supposed to be developed.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Very cheaply made
May 22, 2018I am referring to the brand new townhomes that were recently built (The ones with the dark brown garage) thank me later !! Do not! I repeat, do not!! move into these!! extremely cheaply made! every single one of my neighbors are moving as soon as their lease is up! you are paying for a refrigerator and a nice stove! (That’s honestly cheap as well).. everything in this small weirdly shaped townhouse is extremely cheap! the owners should be ashamed of themselves for charging this amount!!Review from Apartments.com
