Please think twice..
January 19, 2023I've lived here for almost a year and a half and I've heard multiple gunshots outside of my building. Our microwave broke and it took them 7 months to replace it. Visitor parking is limited and far from the apartments so it can be a dangerous walk at night. And they are constantly working on the water so they are always having to shut it off. Other residents can be loud and play really loud music.Review from Apartments.com
WORST APPARTMENTS IN SAN ANTONIO
August 4, 2022Loved here for 2 years… there a constant change in management. Would put in work orders and would never get done they lost our rent money and wanted us to pay again plus interest. Roach infested, very dirty pool is never clean. All around terrible apartments a waste of timeReview from Apartments.com
They never answer the phones
June 19, 2021I was supposed to move in this Friday (yesterday) but still have not heard from anyone. When I did my walk through last Monday, the front door keys didn’t work, the bathroom tub leaked, the knob couldn’t turn the water off, SAW A ROACH..painting still needed to be done, the back sliding door was messed up and it never was locked so anyone could’ve walked in there.! They lied and said it was ready when it wasn’t. Then laughed about it. Thankfully I went ahead and applied at a different location ...and got approved. Thursday I called and was shocked someone answered the phone. I spoke to Linda who said she would call me back because she needed to do a walk through to see if the apartment was ready. But she never called me. They are a joke. Looks like I will have to put in a dispute with my bank because they still have my deposit and no one is responding to my calls or email. I’m done wasting gas over there. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL LEAVE WITH A HEADACHE!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!
July 11, 2020I moved here june 22nd 2020. I loved it very spacious. just a few minor things that needed to be fixed. which was no closet doors and some of the plugs were loose. I told management and they said they will put the order in. The following week I go out of town spoke to management he said it would be fixed by the time I come back. I come back a week later. to nothing being done. I go take a shower in the master bedroom and the whole floor is coming up. I walk in the kitchen and I see GERMAN ROACHES ...AND AMERICAN ROACHES!!!!! FREAKED ME OUT.... i call the office and they sent pest control out which only made them worst. its now July 12th and they have yet to fix anything in my apartment. the ppl who have pets do not clean up after them its dog poop EVERYWHERE....I WANT TO BREAK MY LEASE I CAN NOT STAY HERE A WHOLE YEAR!!!!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Please Don't Bring Your Family to StarClub Apts
August 28, 2019The day I moved in I recorded everything on their document that was not "right" in my apartment. Gaps around the front door, sparks every time we plugged something in. This was really scary an my new electronic washing machine! Roaches showed up in a couple of days and there seems to be a new hatch every 2 weeks or so. Called and called for help with the bug problem, they finally sent the exterminator without letting me know when he was coming, so of course, nothing was prepared or stored ...away that you might not want bug spray on. And we have no idea what they did, spray, fog, etc? All the info was on a little blue card that said we should air out the apt. The closet has a light that is wired into the side of the outlet. The extra bedroom was wreaking of cat urine, and this was really hard to convince them that I could not take the smell, but they finally, finally, changed out the carpet and pad. the bathroom sink has no strainer and there are small hair clips stuck way down inside. One day the light in the dining room just fell out of the ceiling, fortunately, it hung by the ground wire. The air conditioner has a small drip pan and the condensed water is not piped outside the building, instead, it runs into this pan when it's really humid, the pan fills up and the system shuts down based on a small float device. I'm not sure if all upstairs a/c are this way, but, I'm pretty sure it would not pass the plumbing inspection. The electrical would not pass inspection for sure. The deck is really scary, it is pulling away from the building, you can see the nails and a lot of daylight! don't walk out there barefoot, because the nail heads are coming out of the boards. These are just a few of the highlights. Needless to say, we are most anxious for our lease to be up.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don’t live here
June 4, 2019Management property continuously changes. Water bill is sky high. My last bill was $92 on a 2x1. It’s ridiculous. Additionally, water is being turned off weekly for “repairs” and then the following week it’s turned off again. Spacious floor plans and it’s affordable but keep in mind you get what you pay for. I can’t wait until my lease is up.Review from Apartments.com
A roller coaster of changes...
October 3, 2018I was looking for convenience, space, and affordability within reason and I got that, initially. Minor renovations started but yet another company purchased the complex. The only renovation that was done was the leasing office. There are simply not enough maintenance staff for a complex of this size. I'm a very clean person and whenever a tenant moves I've had the unlucky experience of engaging in a pitched battle with German cockroaches, not the larger American ones that are easily ...controlled. Residents don't pick up after their animals and the smell can be torrid during hot humid days. It's really the lazy parents that send the kids out to walk the animals or they simply walk the animals with no leashes. Renovations aka cosmetic band-aids bring the complex somewhat up to date but underneath nothing has been addressed. Tear down the remnants of the access gates as they are now pointless eyesores. Add two massive speed bumps before and after the turns to the complex entry points. The fear of tearing up your car will slow down the loud music playing speed demons. The fitness or the room with some equipment has a considerable amount of broken equipment and dumbbells that have been stolen. Residents simply give out the code to their non-tenant friends who come and go as they please because there are no cameras. Remember your residents are paying for this. Parking isn't that bad but selling spaces? Come on now, you've increased the rent and I've yet to see where residents are benefitting from the increase. The new sign at the entrance blocks drivers' view of oncoming traffic so you have pull-out in the walkway to see oncoming traffic. It's cute but impractical. The HVAC units are dated and aren't powerful enough to cool these larger apartments. Is it poor ductwork and old HVAC units? Probably both! I hate moving as I've done a lot of in my lifetime so I'm sticking it out for a few more months and I'm moving on. This complex has a lot of potential but the wrong people are in charge and allowed to move in. The management has begun leasing to some undesirable tenants that clearly have had some past leasing issues due to behavior. Lack of respect for other tenants space and quiet hours. Smoking on staircases where they don't live. Teenage boys hanging out in front of the building at night making noises. Neighbors have reported them constantly but the parents don't care. The parents are loud themselves.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nothing but atttitude and lies
September 17, 2018In my time here there has been 1 management change. Old staff wouldn’t address issues at all. New staff comes in making bold claims they’re way better than the old staff. So far I’ve found them to be worse. The manager and assistant manger will tell you play you one against the other. The manager will tell you one thing and the assistant will come right behind her and tell you so,etching else. And then both point the finger at the other when you call them out. Water seems to be shut down weekly. ...Hot water seems to be out monthly. They do nothing but put bandaids on stuff. My dishwasher went out and took them almost 2 weeks to replace. Kept telling it was being shipped. I wonder if they ordered it from China. F you’re looking for a GOOD place to live this isn’t the place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
I could go on and on. I have lived here for awhile, and have to stay for awhile yet. Where to start...
August 30, 20171. The air conditioner units are not large/strong enough to properly circulate air throughout the apartments. I imagine this is especially bad in the upstairs apartments. If you walk through the property, you'll see window units in several apartments, because it is almost unbearable. This is a known problem, and management ignores the work orders for the a/c, because short of replacing every single unit in the complex, nothing will fix them. I know that this is a known problem because ...they've admitted it at community meetings with other apartment complex personnel. 2. Pet waste stations. They removed most of them. I'm told there are others elsewhere on the property, but they aren't in a convenient location for pet owners. What this causes is dog poop all over the property. I don't know why they would have taken them down, except maybe the maintenance guys were tired of having to empty the baskets and maybe they were tired of providing bags for the residents. And I see more dogs off leash than I do on leash. 3. The "renovations" are a joke; lipstick on a pig, as they say. They took down everyone's privacy fences and put up...well, I'm not sure what to call them. A fence panel. No one has a private patio anymore. So everyone's stuff is just out in the open for anyone to take as they please. They had the property painted (very sloppily) a horrid blue and dark grey color, and put up sheet metal to hide rotting wood. They also put the sheet metal on the sign out front, and now you have to pull almost into the street to see oncoming traffic. 4. Work orders get completed whenever they feel like it. Two maintenance men for a property as old and as large as this one is not sufficient. 5. Parking is not assigned, except now they're selling parking spaces to residents. $10/mo for a non-covered space, and $25/mo for a covered space. The covers are rickety and you never know if a good storm will blow the metal down onto your car (I've seen it blown down in two spots in my time here, but I don't think any cars were parked in those areas at the time). There is very little to no lighting around the property in general, but also underneath the covered parking. What's more, there are broken down and wrecked cars all over the property that they don't seem to care enough about to tow, but want to sell the spaces around them and if you park in an assigned one, you'll likely get towed.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Recent Changes Make This Property a Great Find
August 11, 2017I just visited this property to get some information and was very impressed. The property is very clean and quiet. The manager was really nice and the apartments look well maintained and BIG for the price. I really liked how much space I can get for my money. Overall, it seems like a great place to live!Review from Apartments.com
