Cheap, but you get what you pay for
September 10, 2015This place doesn't cost much, especially for the area, but you get what you pay for. MGMT doesn't fix problems the correct way, instead they try to go the cheap, temporary-fix route. The maintenance is usually nice, but none of them are professionals and they change a lot. Aside from the main guy, you never know who's going to knock on your door. We also found out about some issues that we weren't informed of prior to them becoming our problem. The good part is it's convenient!Review from Apartments.com
A "Meh" Place to Live
September 10, 2015This apartment building has definite pros, and definite side-eye worthy cons. Pros: Rent is affordable in the ever growing DC market that clearly caters to millionaires and make-believe characters (because what real people can actually afford to live here!) ONLY. All utilities are included (except cable & internet), another serious financial perk. The building isn't a noisy one, and neighbors tend to keep to themselves. The building is walking distance to the metro (super short metro rides to ...the city), and right across the street and down the street from 2 grocery stores, along with a slew of restaurants in the burgeoning Petworth area. Cons: Old building come with plenty of issues. For starters, fuses blow super easily. Unplug, unplug, unplug your appliances. The maintenance staff members are sketchy, and don't seem like professionals, which means reoccurring issues are ALWAYS happening. Management is good at putting bandages over issues rather than actually fixing them. Another con- no security means being super aware of who you let in the building (and praying your neighbors do the same). Basically: you get what you pay for.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
