It's okay but not the best
November 30, 2020Building looks nice enough and the interiors are okay. There is no front office in this building, and the property group tends to ignore voicemails. When my wife and I were viewing the apartment I forgot to ask which mailbox was mine (dumb, I know, but the info was not given initially we moved in a bit of a hurry so I didn't think about it) and when I called the landlord group to ask they were out to lunch or away from their phone every. Single. Time. I left 7 voicemails; when they never called ...me back I just tried every mailbox in the lobby until I found the right one! Thankfully the lobby is almost always empty so nobody was really around to get weirded out. Parking here is TERRIBLE. There is street parking and I regularly need to park several 5+ blocks away, which is fine but annoying when you're carrying heavy groceries. There is a small garage under the building and you can rent a spot, but the waitlist is understandably long as like I said the street parking is TERRIBLE and there are only about 10 spots in the garage. There IS a parking spot designated for loading right next to the elevator, which was nice when moving in and made things much easier. You can also park here to unload groceries or really whatever, as long as you REMEMBER TO MOVE YOUR CAR. Sometimes after getting home I just want park, unload, and be done with it and decompress without having to go look for a parking spot and take the walk back. Without renting a spot you will have to get out of your car to swipe your FOB to open the garage both to enter/leave the garage. Lazy? Well. But that's the parking situation. It smells like poop a lot of the time when you walk outside. That's not a euphemism, there are a couple dog waste bins on the street outside the building, which I suppose is convenient but I have seen (and SMELLED) them OVERFLOWING with filled poop bags more often than I or I'm sure anyone would like. It will also smell like poop sometimes outside from our balcony, even though it is on the opposite side of the building. The neighboring units are LOUD. we never hear any of our neighbors (unless excited about something which has only been at reasonable hours). The units themselves are noisy. We never hear our nextdoors doing anything, but anytime UPSTAIRS neighbors play with their dogs walk around (are they wearing boots?) drop anything or open any door you FEEL the noise. The hinges also creak but theirs sounds like a woman shrieking! Opening unit door is also VERY LOUD.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
