Disappointing
September 20, 2017Really looked forward to this place...then we moved in. Let me simply say we enjoyed one of the nicer units in a building which has decent floor plans and an attractively modern appeal. This doesn't allow my full review but here goes: Negative: To start – 1100$ per month HOA fee with rumors it will increase in hopes to "attract better quality buyers" is ridiculous on every level; the price is steep anyway, but when the building's services and management offers less than 100$ a year worth of an ...HOA fee, the notion of such a high monthly maintenance cost is beyond outrageous. For instance, "criminal" might be used to descibe threats of fines to multiple residents for following normal protocol around the building when they simply were not informed at all about temporary exceptional changes. Said changes are sent via emails or calls (if sent at all) and include either spelling errors, syntactical flaws, or simply nonsensical demands. The balconies and outside windows are almost never cleaned. We do it ourselves, but of course, why when we pay astronomical amounts for an HOA fee. When once the management demanded everyone remove all items from balconies for cleaning, multiple residents reported service men using nothing more than a Swiffer to lightly swipe over the balcony flooring, and that was it. Already limited guest parking is also a hassle for the pass system. No valet parking is available at all, which is more than common as a free service offered to residents in many buildings around West Palm (particularly buildings of considerably lower average unit value than this). I have heard of guests vehicles being booted or in one case ticketed after my neighbor's guest was referred to park at the Tri-Rail because of no available parking; this is despite a gargantuan-sized undeveloped pasture behind the building where all manner of maintenance workers park for free (and there are many with such frequent calls for repair). The main manager is an egotistical schizophrenic manic monster of a failure, at best, and shows favoritism mutually exclusive of any semblance of sound logic and reason. Her occasional smarmy smiles come off as disconcerting since one knows the other ugly side will surface soon. Take-away: I've never lived in such a grossly incompetent living scenario which is worse when it's beyond your control. We regret we'll be moving soon. Too bad, since we once really like this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Short term only
October 1, 2015As a full-time resident, I soon discovered that this place is not worth it. The building is poorly constructed and I can hear everything: neighbors coughing, sliding glass doors from all around, doors slamming from the halls! Even construction done on different floors travels oddly through the building. I didn't get a moments peace in this place with all the outside noise-it was like I had roommates! Don't waste your time or money if you are looking for long-term residency.Review from Apartments.com
The Edge Condo
September 3, 2015I have been living in the Edge condo for about 10 months now. It is a beautiful building that is clean and quite secure (all doors are only accessible via key fob and there is 24/7 security at the front desk) they do a great job in maintaining both inside and outside of the condo. It is close enough to downtown west palm beach that you can easily walk to the local publix's, downtown clematis and cityplace. This building is extremely dog friendly!! This building is very close to a tri-rail ...station, which is very convenient if you have to commute to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale on a routine basis. It's a great building for young families and couples.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Minimalists with Modern Taste
July 20, 2015Located perfectly between the action of downtown, the highway to everywhere, the airport, the tri-rail line and a rental bikes post(close enough to cycle to the beach). The building is modern with vaulted ceilings, huge sliding glass doors to their patios, half finished look with a mix of cement and dry-wall. A stunning pool and hot tub on the roof, well equipped gym and so much more.Review from Apartments.com
