Do not move here!
February 3, 2019**DO NOT MOVE HERE** I've lived here for roughly 2 months and it's been nothing but a nightmare since day one. The management is terrible. The property manager (Brittany) rarely returns calls/emails. There is no management onsite, so the building is clearly neglected. I've even attempted to contact RKW Residential, but have yet to receive a response from corporate. During my move-in the apartment was not properly punched. My blinds are damaged, the floors are damaged, W/D is cracked and makes ...loud noise, damaged carpet and the water had a horrible stench. This is not what I expected and am really disappointed. They won't replace simple things like a blind due to cost. (Pictures Attached) The property is extremely dirty. There is trash/debris in the hallways, the garbage dumpster is overflowing, the security cameras do not work, the gym mirror is cracked and they rent out apartments on a nightly basis without screening. You can find the listing on booking.com. My car was hit in the parking lot over night and management was no help. I was told the cameras do not work. The gates are another issue. They're pointless and extremely hard to open. I've almost been hit several times by cars while waving my pass around trying to open the gate. If the power goes out you can't even access the building. I would suggest looking at other apartments and avoid renting from this company. It may seem like a convenient location, but you'll regret moving here.Property Manager Responded

Perfect Location Well Priced
September 23, 2015My fiancé and I have been living at the Edison since mid-May 2015, and we LOVE it! The windows are double-paned, the walls are sound-proof, and we live close to everything in Charlotte! Plaza Midwood is a central location for restaurants, bars, yoga studios and grocery stores. I can walk to banks, the post office, parks and so much more! It's very safe to walk, and there are sidewalks on all the main streets. It is pretty busy on weekend nights, so if you want somewhere isolated and rural to ...live this is NOT the place. There is also a freight train that comes through all times of the day and night (except on Sunday), but we've gotten used to it and barely notice it anymore! Every apartment in the building has a balcony, and when you live in a studio apartment (like we do), you LOVE that balcony! And it's a pretty big size for such a small apartment! Also, the bathroom is HUGE. I love the high ceilings- makes the space feel SO much bigger than it is. The apartment also came with a washer/dryer unit! (Water is included, so it's all good!) The apartments come with hardwood laminate in the main living areas, carpet in the bedroom, and tile in the bathroom. What's not to love about that?! I highly recommend the Edison. There are mostly working professionals living here, and I have never heard any wild parties or loud neighbors. There's the occasional small dog barking and sometimes I hear people coming in late at night from bars. But that's it! There's also a common area equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, living area with a TV, and free wifi. The back door leads to an outdoor grilling patio with picnic tables. One more thing I LOVE about the Edison- they have trash AND recycling bins! No more filling up the trash can with tons of recyclables.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
