Wonderful Apartment
March 27, 2024My husband and I have lived at Whitman Manor for the past six years and have loved it here. Our apartment has updated appliances and granite countertops, the layout is cozy and comfortable. Neighbors are respectful and quiet. Management has been great. The building manager lives in the building and is very nice, responsive, and takes care of issues very quickly and efficiently. The owner, Sandy, is wonderful too, she is very involved and makes sure the property is taken care of. Great value, well maintained, responsive management
May 4, 2023I've lived here for 13 years now. It's the longest term that I've stayed at a rented apartment in my life. What is interesting is that there are several other tenants who have been here longer than me. The common denominator is that the apartment offers great value. The owner's family has owned the property since it was built. They take pride in their ownership and have maintained the property well over the years. I have seen many upgrades and improvement since I've lived here. The ...interior of the apartments have been upgraded especially the kitchen with new appliances and cabinets. The exterior of the building has been repainted and there is a community garden. The management team is responsive to tenant concerns. Sandy, the owner is a wonderful person. She lives a few hours away but visits on a regular basis. She is very involved in the care and maintenance of the property. Family friendly apartment
April 27, 2023My family and I lived in this apartment building for a little over 4 years. We are a military family and was only suppose to stay for 2 years. We have since moved base to the east bay but decided to commute across the bridge to stay at this apartment building because of the positive atmosphere. Although this is a one bedroom apartment, my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kiddos) have more than enough space. There is a large courtyard, community garden (fresh veggies planted by neighbors), pool, ...and safe neighborhood for strolls. We are facing the pool so there is a lot of sunlight throughout the day! We absolutely enjoy our neighbors. Neighbors are all working professionals or retired. Neighbors are quiet and respectful. Most are courteous and friendly. Resident manager lives on the property and is very responsive and efficient. I can understand some of the negative reviews and I was a bit skeptical before I moved in too. I soon realize the negative feedbacks are about how clean the owners expect the place to be. A cleaning company is here twice a week, NOTHING can be left in the hallways (no shoes), only patio furniture on the balcony (no hanging laundry, etc), trash in the proper bins (can't leave trash next to garbage bins or you will be fined). With that said, I appreciate the strict cleanliness guidelines! There has not been a problem with mice, roaches, or other pests! Complex is convenient: highways close by, grocery stores and parks within walking distance, Costco and target are two exits away, gas stations a couple blocks away, EV charging up the street. Laundry on site, machines are cleaned and well maintained. Elementary schools and daycares within walking distance. Bike lock up available in the garage. Parking inside garage for tenants and street parking abundant. Courtyard has a community grill that is cleaned and maintained by management. Pool is heated during summer months. The only complaint I have which is not a complaint about the property itself but for the surrounding area is that when it is stormy or windy, we get hit hard because of the trees nearby. Our power gets cut off immediately out of precaution and takes a few hours to come back on. Not well maintained, greedy owners, property is in decline.
August 12, 2022Stay away. Not maintained well, property manager is some rando from craigslist who will share your emails with other tenants to make fun of you. Owner goes out of the way to go for the cheapest fixes possible while the rest of the building goes into disrepair. They let pest control lapse to save $$$ and now the building has a roach issue. Go to another apartment building up the road or in the area, the cheap rent here is not worth the headache. This is not a well maintained property.Property Manager Responded

This property has been in our family since it was built, with the same property management company, and the same high level of maintenance standards. We continually receive compliments from all of the vendors that come to work at the building, as well as our newer and long term residents of the property, on how exceptionally well managed and maintained the property is.
