There's always a charming little oddity in any city, and The Doll Museum in Worthington, OH (just outside of Columbus) is one of them. Located in on New England Ave, this curious little collection of dolls from across the ages is sure to pique the interests of any apartment-ite, doll-lover or not. Luckily, it's not a collection entirely made up of old Barbie dolls, but rather fine china dolls, French dolls (with real human hair), and dolls dating back to the 19th Century, replete with elaborate accessories of the period. There's also an exhibit of dolls modeled after famous fashion icons in history and dolls made in other mediums, such as paper mache or wishbone. The museum is part of The Old Rectory, a former rectory dating back to the 19th Century. The entire building is pretty small, but the Doll Museum is rather jam-packed, and only charges $1.50 for admission. This really is a place that has to be seen to be believed, as some of the dolls range from adorably cute to downright creepy, depending on your point of view of dolls in the first place. But if you're an apartment-ite that wants to see something a little bit different, it's worth checking back every few months when a new traveling exhibit pops in.
