The Indianapolis Zoo is full of every kind of interesting animal you could think of, from all around the world, from African wild cats, to Canadian bears, to South American dart frogs, to Arctic polar bears. If you're a fan of the furry, the feathered or the scaley, you'll find something to delight you at the Zoo, where you can discover all the animals of the world and have a fantastic time doing it. The numerous on display throughout the Zoo are located in separate exhibits, each based upon what kind of environment those creatures would live in. The forest biodome is home to all of the fantastic creatures of the jungle, as well as the forest, giving you a chance to discover fearsome Amur tigers, beautiful Red pandas, white handed gibbons, and ring-tailed, crowned, red-ruffed and blue-eyed black lemurs, as well as Asian small-clawed otters, green peafowl, Reeves muntjacs, Chilean flamingos, even turkey vultures and ravens. The Deserts Biodome is home to nature's warm-weather loving creatures, including plenty of reptilians, including the blue tongued skink, the African pancake, radiated, and desert tortoises, the chuckwalla, the Grand Cayman blue iguana, and the Inland bearded dragon, as well as plenty of beautiful and unique birds, including the orange-cheeked waxbill, the gamble's quail, and the zebra, cordon bleu, and red-billed fire finches. You can also find adorable families of slender-tailed meerkats running around as well. Another exhibit that Indianapolis apartment-ites must see is the Plains Biodome, where creatures of the African Savannah are put on beautiful display. This is the spot to find many of the visitor's favorite animals, including elephants, rhinoceri, giraffes, lions, zebras, baboons, gazelles, and other beautiful hoofed beasts, as well as flocks of gorgeous birds. You can also find a fine collection of Australian creatures running around the grounds if you keep moving, so there's something for just about everyone in this biodome. Sometimes the daily grind can get very pressing, and you just need to take a load off. Where better to do just that than among all the beautiful wonders of the world that can be found at the Indianapolis Zoo, one place where Indianapolis apartment-ites can have a great time discovering the beautiful animals that call this planet home, and learn a little something in the process.
