Today, Magnolia is a growing city with a population of over 1393 (2010) and attracts thousands of visitors to the Texas Renaissance Festival held every year.

A historic landmark such as the Grimes County Courthouse was established in 1846 and named after Jesse Grimes, a veteran of 1812 War. The main University in Magnolia is Southern Arkansas University, which is 1.1 miles from Magnolia Center.
