People who live in Brown Deer Park apartments have a haven of nature and activity in their backyard. The 362 acre park is a favorite of Milwaukee apartments dwellers because of its offerings of golf, tennis courts, sand volleyball, softball and soccer. And if team sports aren't enough, the park has a beautiful nature trail that's part of the larger, city-wide Oak Leaf Trail. There's also a boathouse and dock on the small lake of the park. For golfers who live in Brown Deer Park apartments, the golf course itself has made quite a name for itself both in history and pro moments. The course was designed in 1929 and is currently home to the PGA tour event, the US Bank Championship. Tiger Woods made his pro debut here in 1996 at the Greater Milwaukee Open where despite making a hole in one on the 14th hole, he still only tied for 60th. If you're not in the golfing mode but just want to hit a few balls, bring your golf clubs from your Milwaukee apartments and you may use the driving range. Both forested areas and wide open park land are found throughout the site, and restrooms are convenient and accessible near the young childrens playground, volleyball courts, softball diamonds and the boathouse. Within the wooded areas are exceptional native plant communities where you will find protected species of plants.
