Philadelphia is one of the historic cities in all of the United States, so you have to take some time and get out of your apartment to discover the rich stories the city has to offer. One location that holds more history than virtually any other spot in the entire city is Independence Historical Park. On this historic locations some of the greatest events in history took place, from the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as the drafting of the Constitution, and where many of America's earliest president's called home. A trip to Independence Historical Park is a trip in a time machine to a place long since gone, but never forgotten. One spot that any history buff just can't pass up is Independence Hall, where so many of America's top statesmen argued over the important matters of the day. It is in this hall that two of the most famous documents in United States history first were signed, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Informative and fascinating tours are given of the facilities every day, allowing you to take in the world as they knew it back in the late seventeen hundreds, and learn what went through their heads as they made the decisions that affect us still today. Another famous landmark that sits in the middle of Independence Historical Park is the Liberty Bell. This symbol of American freedom has stood firm for many years, crack and all, as a testament to America's fortitude and independence. It was famously rung to inform citizens of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as after several victories during the War of Independence, and stands as a symbol of all those values that make America what it is today. Sometimes it may feel like the world today is in disarray, but apartment-ites looking to go back to a time when the world was simpler, and being an American meant something, then a trip to Philadelphia's Independence Historical Park will give a taste of day's gone by, when patriot's fought for the rights Americans still hold dear today.
