December 29, 2024At the Alexander at Patroon Creek in Albany, NY, the fire alarm system is abusive and causes unnecessary inconvenience to the point that most residents do not evacuate the buildings, which pretty much defeats the whole purpose. It is abusive because the decibel level too high and it is also continuous, continuing for over an hour at a time, disrupting the ability to concentrate on anything else, such as reading a book or watching television or the preparation of a meal or entertainment at dinner ...parties or showering before important appointments or other routines that residents may consider essential to daily living. Except for a few occasions, most of these fire alarms have been FALSE alarms, and there was never any danger to begin with, making clear how much unnecessary abuse and inconvenience has been inflicted on residents simply because of an incompetently engineered and administered system that is supposed to be in the best interests of residents.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
