not worth it
December 18, 2024We pay too much to be dealing with all the issues we’ve been having lately, frequently dealing with power outages. Been running on generators since mid October and they’ve been having issues with those lately as well. We lose hot water randomly and often. There’s always something wrong. Pest control doesn’t come like they use to, only by request if you can make it on the list of “limited spots”. Washer and dryer prices just keep going up even though you’re lucky if they even all work or ...completely dry your clothes in one cycle. Save your time, money, and energy and find somewhere else better. The price and space you get doesn’t outweigh all the cons you deal with here.Property Manager Responded

Great management and clean apartment
May 9, 2020As a landlord myself, I am very happy with my experience at Fairways 5. They have one of the best management teams in town. Michael and Monica try their best to help their tenants in every way they can. They are very willing to work with tenants and applicants when they have difficult situations and reasonable requests. Their ultimate goal is to let tenants stay as long as they can. I appreciate everything they have done to help me in my specific situation from the bottom of my heart. The ...one-bedroom apartment is very spacious, clean, and with tons of storage. Maintenance is awesome, very responsive and efficient. Price is reasonable, location is convenient. Moved-in last month and dissapointed (2019)
January 6, 2019I have moved in to Fairways V Apartments one month ago, and I am very disappointed. The office simple ignores all the requests that you make. The day I moved in I was given a check list for me to make sure everything was good in the "renovated apartment", and I had to sign this document. I submitted the next day and mentioned that: 1) one of the bedroom doors was not closing because it was not installed properly, 2) the smoke alarm was defective and would start honking 2-3 times a day for ...no reason... 2-3 am was its favorite time to go to work. 3) there was a fan missing in the bathroom, so I just had a big hole in the ceiling with bunch of wires coming out. 4) the balcony light was not working 5) there is leak in the kitchen sink... and few more things. 3 people from the management came to my apartment took a look and promised to come the next day to fix all of it. One week later I go to the office to remind them that nobody came yet, and they took a note and promised to remind them. One week later I go to the office again and was told that it will be taken handled soon. Another week later when I go to the office they told me that I was my fault nobody came since I didn't submit online request. I submitted online request more than 10 days ago and still nothing. Fairways V Apartments charges me $15 for parking even if I don't own a car. They charge me $40 for cable TV, even though I don't watch TV. I signed a 14 month lease, and was promised first and last month free, however on Jan 1, (three weeks later) I am charged full month rent, and I get $80 charge for the cable. I called the office few times, nobody picked up, so I left few voice messages asking them to call me back and explain why my rent was not prorated and why the cable bill is double (just for 3 weeks of stay). Nobody returned my call. Also there are no screens on the windows so there are lots of bugs, cockroaches and other crawling creatures in the apartment. Overall very bad experience so far.Property Manager Responded

DO NOT MOVE HERE
September 8, 2018We Lived here and TRUST ME. ....you do not want to live here. They are heavily infested with roaches, ants, and during the winters the heater goes out. People have broken their leases just because of the hot water issues, Air conditer. DO NOT move here. They paint and spray paint over everything. THe manager is really unprofessional! Horrible Place To Live
June 24, 2017OMG i wish i was making this stuff up but its just sad living there. My neighbor across from me was always beating his girlfriend at odd hours of the night. All kinds of randoms roam the parking lot at all hours of the day, cars have been stolen, broken into, toed by mistake (they wont have your car returned you have to find a way to go and get it across town). The AC was broken all the time and they never come out to change the filter when it was working, i would defiantly have your apartment ...checked for mold if your living here or plan on living here. Do not believe the pictures they show you on the web site ask to see the unit your moving into and check all the windows because i was always having problems with my down stairs window being tampered with (screen pulled off, looked like someone tried to wedge the window open). Upstairs shower would leak into the down stairs bathroom through the wall. The weather stripping at the bottoms of the front door and upstairs patio was missing and called many times to have them come out and fix it so bugs would get in from under the doors, stove was basicly falling apart along with the outdated refrigerator. This place is only Luxury if your currently living in a box or paper bag. I would never recommend this place to anyone not even if i hated you.Property Manager Responded

The ultimate mess.
August 28, 2015So I was trying to find a good place to survive - I mean live - and came across Fairways. It looked good on paper, it looked REAL good on paper. The sad truth is there is a lot of criminal activity. Cars have been stolen - people have been in abusive relationships and there's just been random acts of chaos in the driveway. I wish I was making this up. Typing this out - it sounds outlandish - but I assure you all these events take place in consistency. It's no fault of the apartment complex - I ...guess it's just circumstance. I was wanting to move out of state and don't have the funds to do so. Know that if you pick me I will undoubtedly make a name for myself as an animator. Help me and I will YELL from the rooftops - (my future rooftop maybe?) Everyone will know how much of an awesomesauce bunch you all are. Honest Review
August 2, 2015My apartment complex is pretty average. The staff here is helpful and Maintenance problems are fixed in a pretty timely manner. I have lived at this complex for going on three years now. Some very good experiences I've had here are the parties the complex has every now and again for special occasions and free turkeys every Thanksgiving or Christmas provided by the complex. Now there are only two things that I have to say bug me about the apartment complex and that is the lack of washer and ...dryers connections in any of the units and there only being one coaxial cable connection in my unit. The lack of washer and dryer connection means always having to do laundry in the laundry rooms provided by the complex or a laundromat. With only one coaxial cable connection in the unit there is splicing that has to be done with the cable and wires that need to be purchased to provided cable to other room or devices. That would be to bad of a problem the splicing the original connection weakens the signal being sent to other devices. Quaint older apartments
July 23, 2015I love my apartment complex. It's as simple as that. I'm right on the edge of the Medical Center which gives me access to a multitude of conveniences without having to deal with the awful traffic of Fredericksburg & Medical & I10/410. The apartments have a beautiful character to them. My 2-story loft has a wood-burning fireplace, a MASSIVE walk-in closet (it's like half the size of the bedroom!), and a great balcony for planting my potted garden that faces East and gives me a gorgeous view. The ...service is very good and the staff is attentative to the needs of their renters. An on-site laundromat, swimming pool, and well-manicured grounds complete the property.
