  • Avoid this place

    October 31, 2020
Please avoid this place!!!! Current management is unprofessional and doesn't take their work seriously. I faced trouble with a poor response before signing the lease, should have considered it a red flag. The unit was not clean and ready for move-in, was filled with hair in the bedroom. The dishwasher, sink, and toilet needed repair at least twice in 5 months. There is no proper security for the building, the access to the building has been open for more than 3 months, anyone can walk into ...
the building. The garage especially is worse, left a notice with the leasing office about the stolen property and there was no update/response till the property was recovered from the police. ?Michelle the manager needs to take ownership seriously when asked about notes left regarding stolen property she didn't hesitate to lie saying the employee who took the note was a temp and no longer with the management. Funny, that employee answered the front office call the next day. Hidden charges will pop on rent, at this point, I didn’t bother questioning them. The move out isn’t any better, had to deal with another incompetent associate. Had to call 4 different times to get the move out form, and 15+ emails to confirm move out request is submitted. She was successful in making my least sign out an additional 12 days from planned.

  • under new management - stay away

    August 19, 2020
I've lived here for 4 years. It used to be nice with responsive staff and community events and free food monthly. It was great. The location, office, and pool look enticing. But in the past year Mission Rock Residential purchased the property. There is loud parties until 2am- 4am multiple nights a week in the common area with loud music, screaming, arguing, and profanity. Police come out all the time for noise. Residents beg for quiet. No response from management. Theres empty beer cans in the ...
hallways. Stains in the carpets. The secure doors stay propped open. Elevators break down regularly. They closed the office for months and put up a sign to say to leave all UPS packages in the front hallway by the public entrance and our packages got opened and content stolen. So they got a Amazon HUB in the garage but I still see packages just sitting next to it or on top of it. Your deliveries will get stolen. No communication with residents except for some e-message center on their portal that seems to not work sometimes. Alot of staff turnover in the office as they are hiring temps it seems so you wont talk to the same person. The manager is nice when she's ever in the office or you can talk to her which is rare. Renting an apartment here now would be like buying a ticket on the Titanic as it was sinking.

  • Location, spacious and fun

    February 10, 2019
This place is an EXCELLENT place to live! I have lived here for over 2 years and couldn’t be happier. Indigo is in the located in the perfect section of Virginia Beach. You are within walking distance (10 minute walk) from the beach but far enough away to avoid the overcrowding of tourists. It is also located right off the interstate. This makes the commute to work very accessible. Each apartment is spacious and the rooms offer a lot of privacy. Each apartment has a large kitchen, very spacious ...
bathrooms, storage closets and a large laundry room. Another perk of living here is the maintenance! They are always quick to respond and very friendly. Indigo 19 is a very secure complex. Each resident is given a key fob as well as a code to buzz guests in. I feel very safe living here. A final perk of living here is the resident events and community space. Indigo 19 offers their residents grills, an outdoor pool with lounge areas, a fire pit, cornhole, billiards, free bike rentals and other fun games. These perks are great if you are a social person who loves group gatherings. The leasing office has (and continues to offer) very fun resident events such as the summer pool party, team trivia, indigo bar crawl, wine tasting, taco nights and more! These events are super fun! Lastly, the whole complex is very handicap friendly. I have a family member who loves to visit because unlike other complexes, indigo 19 is spacious and accommodates to his needs. He is able participate in many of the events as well as move around the apartment with ease. It’s great to live in a community that has everything!

  • Great Apartments

    February 7, 2019
I've had to live in quite a few apartments in different states, and I have to say this place provides a great experience overall. Pros: Nice floors, countertops, etc.. Nice appliances Included washer/dryer, and dishwasher Good floorplans (I have a 1 bed, 1 bath, and it's very small but is very well laid out) All staff members are extremely nice and helpful Great lounge area, computers/printer you can use Parking is great, and you have the option to pay monthly for parking garage ...
spaces. Convenient location for Dam Neck/Oceana bases Key fob access to get inside building Cons: The pricing is higher than other apartments, however you get what you pay for, and I feel like it is 100% worth it to live here.

  • Beautiful Apartments

    February 6, 2019
They have amazing amenities: overhead lighting, two sink master baths, and brand new kitchen appliances (fridge, microwave, countertops).the have a new, very helpful staff that goes out of their way to accommodate their residents. They have a decent gym for an apartment complex and plenty of parking for residents. We are only a mile from the beach and a mile from Walmart and Target and lots of restaurants to choose from. The only thing I don't like is the fact that many jets fly over throughout ...
the week which can be very annoying. Otherwise, they are the only choice when deciding on an apartment

  • Great place, only 1 mile from the ocean!

    February 2, 2019
Indigo19 has very courteous front office staff! They provide community events and are willing to put package deliveries in your home if you can't make it to pick up before office closure. The maintenance men are great and there is no charge for unclogging a drain or for simple maintenance fixes. They do maintenance checks to ensure all bulbs are working, which is beyond what I'm use to in CA. You can pay for valet trash pick up, but there are trash chutes as well. The only time I've really ...
experienced a noise issue was New Years Eve when people like to yell off their patio to celebrate (which was annoying for those who have to go to bed early to work on NY Day!) The location is a 1 mile walk to the oceanfront, so convenient! There seem to always be the public electronic scooters called Bird out front of the building. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are 1 exit west. I have a corner unit overlooking the pool and get a lot of sunlight which is important to me! Indigo19 has been a great place to live the past 5 months!

  • One and half year of misery

    June 3, 2018
Nicely built with beautiful floor plans but my stay was miserable with loud weekend night parties, marijuana smell in the hallways and extremely loud jets. Management at the time was not very cooperative at all. Would certainly not recommend this place.

  • Run The Other Way...

    May 13, 2017
This complex USED to be a wonderful place to live, however, this all changed this past summer (Summer 2016) when the new management company took over. They are greedy and only care about making money, completely disregarding residents in the process. Every couple of months new fees are imposed. They now force residents to pay for "valet" trash services. This is a required monthly fee, where each apartment is given a trash can that they must store in their unit. The idea behind this is that ...
every night you are supposed to put your trash in this bin and set it in the hallway outside your door, where it is picked up by a "valet" service. What does this actually mean for residents? Every evening when you are walking through the halls you get to see and smell your neighbors trash, as well as look at trash bins scattered throughout the halls. The ridiculous thing about this is that there are multiple trash chutes located on every single floor throughout the building, making this service completely unnecessary. Many residents have complained about this issue, but complaints have gone unanswered by management. A huge selling feature of this complex was always the ample amount of parking available to residents, as well as visitors. Each apartment was permitted one free parking pass for the garage, as well as unlimited outside parking for additional tenants and visitors. When myself and all other residents signed our leases this was how parking was advertised and there was no mention that it would be changing. They have since imposed a monthly charge to any residents wishing to park in the garage. This means that now the parking garage is nearly empty all the time, while outdoor parking is extremely difficult to find. If you get home late at night, early in the morning, or anytime on weekends there may or may not be parking available. And don't even think about attempting to park in the EMPTY garage if you can't find a spot anywhere else - you will be towed. Many cars have been broken into as well. I have never been more dissatisfied with a living situation as I am now. I will absolutely NOT be renewing my lease. If you are looking at living here, you should save yourself the frustration (and A LOT of money) and run the other way!

We are so sorry that you did not have a more positive experience at our community! The community's amenities and features are there for the comfort of our residents but it seems they did not live up to your expectations. As for our community's cost of living, management does research the local area to ensure fair prices, while also taking into consideration our many other high-end features like the state-of-the-art fitness center, two-story clubhouse, and modern homes. I wish you the best on your next home and will keep your words in mind as my team and I move forward in hopes to improve our services. Thank you! Property Manager, Lindsay Lawrence

  • Looks are deceiving

    May 11, 2017
The apartments are very nice looking but the neighborhood is very unsafe and management does not look out for the best interests of the residents. I broke my lease early because in the 4 months I've lived there several cars have been broken into (in the covered garage and in the parking lot) and I was chased through the parking garage by a strange man when I was just trying to get my mail in broad daylight. The complex is under new management that is struggling to find a balance on how to best ...
run the complex which results in a lot of negative changes in the community and discontent among residents. Stay away from this apartment, it's not worth your safety and sanity. Looks are deceiving
