Worst Building and worst management company in Chicago. DO NOT LIVE HERE
July 13, 2017This is the worst building in Chicago. I would give it -10 if I could. The location is great, but it's not even worth living in this building just for the location. The building has constant plumbing and water issues to the point that you will have a flood in your unit several times a year. From burst pipes, to clogging of drains to overflowing toilets and collapsed ceilings. The building itself is very dirty and always has a bad smell. The air conditioning doesn't work, your hallways will ...either be freezing cold in winter or like a sauna in the summer. Air conditioning and heating always breaks down and you will be left without it when you need it most for days on end. The management company is absolutely terrible as is the property manager who barely shows up to work and never responds to emails, calls or any maintenance issues, speaking of maintenance, the maintenance crew do not carry out any work in your unit not even in an emergency, so I don't know what their purpose really is. As an owner I am disgusted in this building and the issues I strongly believe stem from the poor management. Association fees that are paid go to a property manager that does not work let alone even show up to to work, a main agent crew that clearly do not carry out repairs nor clean the building. An absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to the Gold Coast area. If you're looking to buy- stay away as it will cost you lots of money. If you're looking to rent- stay away, there are other nicer and better managed buildings in the Gold Coast area. The management company and he prototype manager must go before this building can even slightly improve.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Incredible Building
August 10, 2015This is a condo building that is mostly rentals. Because of this you get a great mix of people in theirs 20s, 30s, and 40s (as well as a few owner stragglers who are older). The building is old but maintained well. The location is incredible. The only downside is the workout facilities are old, small, and not very efficient. Other than that, this is one of the best affordable buildings in the city.Review from Apartments.com
