The French make some of the most delicious food in the world, and especially good are many of their fine confections, but Denver apartment residents looking for a way to take in these delicious French flavors may have a hard time finding just what they want. A great place to take in some of the delicious flavors of Paris need only step into the Bistro Vendome. Named after one of the most famous locales in all of Paris, Bistro Vendome is a little piece of France right the heart of Denver. Bistro Vendome is most famous for their fantastic dessert menu, and fans of sweets will not be lete down by anything they see here. You can choose from their Lemon Poppyseed Cake, with chocolate strawberry mousse, strawberry coulis, and a white chocolate glaze, blueberry lavender Napoleon with whipped lemon creme fraiche, blueberry compote in phyllo dough, dark chocolate, orange-scented Bavarian, with tropical fruit and dark chocolate curls in a port reduction, as well as creme brulee, rhubarb plum crepes and a flight of ice creams and sorbets. What goes better with these then some refreshing French Press coffee, or a strong cup of espresso or cappuccino. Depiste desserts being their strong point, they also have a wide variety of dining options, whether you've come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. When dinner time comes, you can start out with their soupe a l'oignon charcuterie, escargots en croute, steak tartare or foie gras poele, or some of their delicious mussels, with garlic, herbs and white wine. When it comes time to pick a main course, you can choose from their Duo de Chevreuil, venison served two ways: sliced egg with cranberry cornbread, mico greens in a apple demi glace, and baked vanieson stew of carrots, turnips, haricot verts, mushrooms and foie bechamel, Truite en Croute de Pistache, pistachioand spice crusted trout with new potatoes, asparagus, bacon, onions, red peppers and pasley oil, or poulet roti au herbes, herb-roasted chicken with Yukon gold potato-leek-black truffle gratin, mache salad in chicken jus. Real French cooking is hard to come by in the Southwest, so when you find a place that does it right, it's important to hold on to that place with all you have. Denver's Bistro Vendome is just such a place, and apartment-ites who take in its delicious flavors will never want to leave.
