It's free to visit the Alamo and its amazing displays of 19th century items and to see a rendition of the soldier barracks of the time. It makes you appreciate your 21st century San Antonio apartment. Tours are offered to the 2.5 million visitors each year every hour except from noon to 1 pm. You can spend 30 minutes to all afternoon looking at the displays and lounging on the beautiful grounds.
