As with most suburbs, it is a good idea to have a car to get around in the city of Allen. With that being stated, they also offer Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) railway and taxi services. For air travel, you have two major airports - Dallas-Ft. Worth and Love Field, in which both are no more than 30 miles away.

Highway 75 is the major freeway that will take you to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. State Highway 5 runs beside Highway 75 and into the towns of Richardson and Plano.
