  • AWFUL DO NOT RENT

    Lived here for years great time. Had a new neighbor move in who would pound on her walls/floors at all hours of the night the pounding was so loud/violent made it impossible to sleep past 5 am. Our walls would shake. Contacted the front office they did NOTHING. They had no solution so we plan to move out. Multiple other people in our building have also moved out because of this neighbor. Hope the complex knows they are losing business and the word will travel fast.

    The first reason the place is full of disgusting cockroaches. The second reason is that I pay for the back balcony while it is unfit for use due to poor maintenance and the third reason is that they spoiled my outdoor furniture without offering an apology or compensation for the damaged furniture. Forth reason is the restrooms in the swimming area are very old and dirty. Also there is no coffee machine in the office area. The only thing is good is its location.

    Amazing staff and service technicians. Very responsive and genuine in their responses and always greet you will a smiling face when you walk in the leasing office. Really recommend if you're looking for something that feels more like a home than just another apartment complex.

    Yes this place is cheap...but there is a reason for the that. These apartments are disgusting and dark. They allow pets but don’t expect your deposit back bc the carpet is sooooo cheap and nasty they will claim any stain is animal and charge you to replace it. Like if I had money, I wouldn’t have lived in this terrible place, so I hope you do and don’t have to. Never so happy to leave somewhere and good luck to you.

  • It's very average

    I lived at Strawberry Hills for 2 years in a 1 bedroom 1.5 bath unit. The pros: There is no comparison in rent price for this large sized apartment in this location of town. Rent only goes up about $25 per lease, which is reasonable if compared to other management companies. Maintenance is very prompt – call office if urgent matter is not resolved in 24hrs and it will get fixed. They have monthly events for all the residents if that’s something you like. Walking distance to Fresh Market, Rite Aid ...
    and a number of restaurants. Staff is communicative and forthright about safety concerns that occur on the property. The cons: OLD apartments even though they are moderately clean looking and functioning. That means all the doors and windows leak air (electric bill), there are sometimes mold issues on the ceiling in the living room (gets painted over by maintenance), there is that “old” smell to the kitchen cabinets and closets (easily covered up by products), poor insulation between upstairs/downstairs units (neighbors can smell what you are cooking despite using exhaust fan and can hear EVERYTHING you are doing above normal conversation level) and they have to work on the water pipes at least 3 times a year (your water gets shut off so they can perform temporary fixes; gets more annoying than you might think). If you have a crazy/disruptive neighbor there is nothing the office can do, you just have to constantly call the police until this causes the neighbor to be evicted – honestly it’s just easier to move at that point. Warning: If you have health issues or have moderate to severe environmental allergies, do NOT move here. They will become exponentially worse. If you can’t tell by the above, my primary reason for moving was my disruptive upstairs neighbor (if I told you all the things she did you wouldn’t believe me, but I could not live a normal life). My secondary motive for moving was my allergies, which became gradually so bad that my health started being affected. Since I have moved 5 months ago to a farther, but newer apartment complex, I have normal neighbors and my allergies have returned to mild (it is fully Spring right now) and all negative heath affects have disappeared. All things considered, I would recommend this complex if you do not have allergies and are not too concerned with up to date finishes.
