August 30, 2023So, where do I begin? My roommate and I moved into this apartment last August. The amenities and apartment in general are fine for what you are paying; it is definitely the most affordable but I would have rather paid hundreds more than to sacrifice my mental health living here. Our apartment flooded during winter break, we were expected to live under terrible and unsafe conditions. The wifi is horrendous. They changed it during March-April 2023, but there were occasions where it would STILL go ...out. Management is not helpful; their "leasing professionals" are just kids. Very insensitive towards situations like the apartment flooding, saying "Aww yummy!" as if we are supposed to laugh. When we would ask for updates through email or phone, regarding the flood and the apartment, guess what: we never got those! We had to drive back and forth and basically beg through email to be given updates regarding OUR apartment. Also, while the reconstruction was taking place, they would leave our door unlocked so anyone could come in. Again, we were the ones begging to have someone lock the door while we were away. Then, I thought someone was trying to get into the apartment during January, when I tried calling, no answer (expect that too), so I just filed a police report. When I came to them in person, there was nothing they could do to make me feel safe. MOLD! YUMMY! By the way, all of the "good" reviews you might see, they bribed residents with pizza! You can hear everything and anything from roommates upstairs, people walking between alleys, literally everything. Oh LOL, their gym and study center isn't open 24hrs even though it says on their website, that they close when the office closes and keep saying "they'll get to it", like that sounds good... but don't promote it on the website. I hope you love Nats too because no matter how clean and responsible you are, you will have them roaming everywhere. Lastly, our security deposit disappeared! I haven't seen it at all, even after they the statement that declared the unit was in good condition upon the final inspection.Property Manager Responded

Worst Complex in the Area
July 29, 2021A lot of us know that more people leave bad reviews than good ones. But after living here for only approximately 2 and a half months, it is painfully obvious that there are basically no reasons to leave a "good" review. First, management is atrocious. I have been living without a working clothes washing machine since day one. Only god knows how long it has been broken. Someone came a couple of weeks ago to “fix it” but literally the next day it stopped working again and hasn’t since. Also, my ...fridge is leaking water from above and in the inside. It leaks so much it creates a pool of half-frozen dirty ice on the floor of the fridge and over all of your food. We have made NUMEROUS attempts to contact who is responsible, but to no avail. At The Heights, you can expect to pay for something that does not function to a degree anywhere near acceptable. The second is a more personal issue with this place. I was in a stressful situation where I had to move quickly. I talked to representatives for The Heights, and they allowed me to sign a 2-month lease at an increased rate, about $535 per month. They told me that if I decided to stay, I could sign a regular lease at the end of those 2 months. That was helpful yet there is one huge issue. There were special summer rates which were a large part of my reason for choosing this place. The representatives told me that if I did stay and sign a new lease, that my rates would lower to what they originally would have been had I signed a normal lease AT THAT TIME with the special rate, which was about $375 a month. I confirmed this multiple times throughout this process before I moved. Unsurprisingly this was not honored. I received my new lease and upon discussing my issue with the office I was told there is nothing possible to be done about this issue. I am now stuck paying $110/month MORE than what I was promised, and don’t forget my washer doesn’t work and probably never will. Also, I set up automatic payments when I began my first lease, but I check and by some miracle I DON’T have it set up anymore. As a result, I paid a $48.45 late fee. I am glad I checked when I did otherwise that late fee would have incurred late fees, so on and so forth. I am tempted to consider legal action if this trend of problems keeps increasing at this exponential rate. This place is a tremendous joke and I am becoming more and more dissatisfied as time goes on.Property Manager Responded

Thin walls and loud neighbors.
August 12, 2015The apartment complex is very deceptive, during the day it is mellow and not to many people around. But at night and on the weekend, the drunken college students come out of the woodworks. I am currently on the first floor and whenever the person on the second floor moves even a muscle, you can hear it.Review from Apartments.com
