Barbecue is one of the official foods of Texas, so any self-respecting Austin apartment residents owes it to themselves to try real, fresh barbecue here in the big city. The question is, with so many different options out there for barbecue consumption, which place is the best to pick up a plate of brisket. Iron Works provides some of the best barbecue in the Austin area, with some of the biggest servings you're likely to find in town. Barbecue is a rather straight-forward process, the best of them with your choice of meats smoked to perfection and coated in plenty of sauce, so what makes the different is the quality. While some barbecue in places may say they have the best taste in town, the Iron Works gets close to winning that title. The Iron Works is famous for their dry rub, which is they coat each piece of meat in before cooking, and which they also put in the chili and the pinto beans. They then smoke them for quite a while, until the flavor seeps right to the bone, filling each bite of the meat with the delicious flavor. After the flavor has seeped in to the meat, its then covered in their delicious homemade barbecue sauce. The most famous dish that Iron Works serves are their beef ribs, which could just be some of the biggest in the state. When it comes out on the plate, you're sure to wonder just what happened to the cow to make their ribs grow so large, yet they still maintain a very affordable price for them. Price across the board are respectable, whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a dinner for the whole family. Apartment-ites in Austin in search of great barbecue can finally end their search, but you're unlikely to find a better combination of flavor, portion and price than Iron Works.
