North Las Vegas commutes take approximately 20 minutes one way. For those working in Vegas, Interstate 15 provides a north, south route into the city. From the airport area, U.S. 95 provides a western approach to both North Las Vegas and Sin City while Nevada 215 connects the northern fringes of the city and provides a path to Death Valley National Park and the Sacramento and San Francisco areas of California.

The Aliante Nature Discovery Park is a family favorite option in North Las Vegas. It features dinosaur-related attractions for kids and has 20 acres for walking as well as tennis and volleyball courts for adults. Splash pads make it a great place to cool off in the summer. To enjoy gambling without a trip into Sin City, Texas Station offers a variety of gaming options and live entertainment. For education, check out the Planetarium for a guided tour through the stars.

Any annual festivals or North Las Vegas events to know?

North Las Vegas provides easy access to all of the festivals offered in Sin City, such as the Exodus Festival for electronic music, the iHeart Radio Music Festival and the Las Vegas Film Festival. In 2019, North Las Vegas plans to welcome the first ever Balloon Glow event in Craig Ranch Regional Park. It will feature glowing hot air balloons each evening with an opportunity to experience tethered rides.

Hop next door to Vegas for a weekend getaway with fine shopping and dining experiences at any of the major resorts.The Grand Canyon is only a five hour drive away on the interstate if you want to experience a natural wonder or enjoy some camping. For the beaches of the Los Angeles area, a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim or a bit of old Hollywood charm, expect a four drive to reach the city.
