Not a safe neighborhood
February 8, 2024If safety is a priority for you DO NOT MOVE HERE! Multiple break in's. Gun shots late at night. Breezeways not maintained. Then they send emails out about they’re not responsible for tenants safety. Overall not a good experience.Reseña de Apartments.com
Absolutely Horrible
July 3, 2022The apartment complex is very dirty , dogs waste are every where , from children's playing area to common walking place. The common places , stairs , gym are very dirty . Most of the times the AC is off in gym . Stray cats are everywhere . Very unsafe .Shooting incidents are very common in this area and within the complex . Car will get scratches and vandalized in parking area . The management is worst , They put so much of false move-out charges on me which they cannot justify . Upon ...requesting to give proper justification they stop responding and threatening me to pay that amount otherwise they would send it to collection agency . The management stuff stops my internet connection one day before the move out . When contacted they did not give any positive response . Most of the times the management stuffs responded without any solution but only customary response . When I moved in this community they have gate but they later removed the gate and after that shoot out incidents become very common . Spacious Apartments
July 16, 2021I have lived at MAA South Tryon for 7 years and I have to say I have not had not one problem. The only reason I moved was because I wanted of a more luxury apartment. They are very spacious and the price is pretty decent for the area that's its in and it close to everything highways eating places Walmart and plenty of other stores. It use to be a gated community so I was a little bummed out that they removed the gate but I understood cause people kept breaking it. I also think they should get ...Valet Trash as its very convenient to the residents and a good look for the community. Absolutely Terrible
April 11, 2020I broke my lease to leave this place. Constant management turnover & lack of empathy, crime, neighbors letting their dogs urinate & defecate on patios. It was a dream first apartment, but went downhill quickly. I’m so glad I left.Reseña de Apartments.com
Place has gone down
January 2, 2020I first moved in these apartments 10 years ago and it was a nice community. The neighbors were friendly and it was quiet. The office staff was nice and maintenance took care of whatever I needed. This place is no longer the nice, quiet community I first moved into. The gates were removed, noise is louder, people speed through the parking lot, there are more and more complaints of car break ins, the trash is left piled, I even saw some random person sleeping by the pool and they allow any piece of ...crap off the street with a check book to move in. I will gladly not be renewing this lease after 10 years of calling this place home. The price is not worth the headache of having weird neighbors . I even miss the old maintenance staff. The new ones take forever to fix anything and management seems uninterested in legitimate concerns. Take it from a long time resident of this apartment complex, TAKE YOUR MONEY TO A SAFER, BETTER PLACE!!!!!!Property Manager Responded

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
December 12, 2019DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Not a safe living environment whatsoever! Numerous break ins (car and apartment homes)! It is very scary and all the leasing office can say is they are not liable for any of the crime taking place here (fine print in lease). No, you can't control crime but you can and SHOULD take the proper measures to ensure your tenants feel safe living here. Cameras? Only at the leasing office - crime is taking place at and around the actual buildings. Gates? ...Stay broken - they took them down and never replaced them - adjustment to monthly rent NOPE. Security? How can you secure the premises by riding around a parking lot slowly and maybe once a month? Heavy police/fire/medic presence? GUARANTEED! AGAIN DO NOT MOVE HERE!Property Manager Responded

Been here for 2 years
October 20, 2019The apartments are great I even moved from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedrooms. Repairs are done quickly. The office staff are polite and professional people. The maintenance staff are good also if they make a mess they clean it up afterwardsProperty Manager Responded

There’s better options out there!!
September 15, 2019I moved in May, and the problems have been endless. Yes, these apartments are affordable but they are for a reason. First off, I had the ceiling of my bathroom leak. Maintenance brushed it off and said it’ll stop when it stops raining which is absurd. It turned out the apartment above mine had a toilet leak and it was seeping down through my ceiling. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbor upstairs making noise. I’ve had pests constantly inside my apartment. We pay for pest ...control in our rent, yet they only do pest control upon request. There are new people all the time in the office and seem to have no idea what’s going on. They choose to never respond unless you write on the website of company who owns the apartments. I’ve seen cockroaches outside of the apartments. Filthy and unsafe
September 2, 2019STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE... RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! Where do I start. I moved here in June and it's been complete hell from day one. I decided to do a walk through of the apartment before moving in and they wanted to put me an apartment that was not even cleaned and smelled like smoke. After making a big stink they put me in a cleaner more suitable apartment. On the day of move in, I left my door opened for the movers to walk in and out. I was greeted by a pit bull not on a leash sitting at my ...doorway wanting to come in. They have no breed restrictions at this apartment and very lenient leash enforcement. Constant car break ins and instead of securing the property more, they send a notice saying that they aren't liable and we should not leave items in our cars. What a great resolution!!! Here are a list of other issues: 1. Gate is always broken (see pic attached) 2. There is not insulation in the walls, you will be able to hear every single word, fight, and door slam. Neighbors having violent fights at 5am every night (I don't get sleep at all). When your upstairs neighbor walks or stomps, your whole apartment will shake! 3. Roaches all over the community. I found one lurking in my living room (see attached pic).. 4. Weird and disturbing goings on in the parking lot. I had two men fondling themselves and pretty much having sex right in front of my patio. 5. Your maintenance requests are either ignored and marked as complete or take 4-5 days for someone to fix it. And if they do attempt to fix it, it's not done properly and falls apart again. 6. They allow more than 4 people in a two bedroom apartment which is against housing regulations. 7.
